11/9/2006 08:36 | Hi SM - nothing in the Telegraph this weekend - am sure they will write something as they are usually very good in following up their recent BUY tips. Nice to see the continual rise here again today. O/T - Not currently in Chelford at the present time - though will be watching results with interest - personally switched into MXM/TSE as the better plays. Though did notice the recent order from Almac which looked good. | tole

08/9/2006 15:38 | Wonder if we'll see an update in The Telegraph "Equity View" this weekend to follow on from their recent BUY tip in July (and coincidently October last year). Definately would have thought it prudent to mention a little regards the results since they seem to like this one. | tole

08/9/2006 09:19 | I don't get it. Good set of results, in line for the full year yet the share price has barely moved. Some positive reporting on Sharecast to add to the mix. What's happening? | morwood
08/9/2006 07:43 | FDM profits soar Thu 07 Sep 2006 FDMG - FDM LONDON (SHARECAST) - IT recruiter FDM profits jumped three-fold in the half-year to June, boosted by new contracts and strong demand for IT staff. Interim profits to June jumped to £1.26m from £400,00 on sales up 28% to £21.1m from £16.4m. "The entire Group has performed well. All of our objectives have been met and we are well placed to continue in this manner," chief executive Rod Flavell said. He added that the company had won some "cracking" contracts with British Airways, ABN-Amro and EDS. FDM, which runs an apprentice-style scheme to train new IT personnel, said it had 572 contractors placed with clients at the half-year end including 454 freelance contractors and 118 employed after coming through its training scheme. The pipeline of business opportunities is strong, Flavell added. The interim dividend rises by 20% to 0.6p per share. | tole

07/9/2006 12:48 | Hi GED, GHF Also hold a small few in here from mid July on the back of that PennyShare Prophet write up - As pointed out nice results - no real negatives - and expect the price to push onwards from here. FDM Group PLC said it is confident of meeting expectations for the full year after reporting a jump in pretax profit for the six months to June to 1.26 mln stg from 400,000. Sales in the first half were up 28 pct to 21.12 mln stg from 16.44 mln with the company, which provides IT services and staff, reporting strong trading in all divisions. Chief executive Rod Flavell "The entire Group has performed well. All of our objectives have been met and we are well placed to continue in this manner. "The market continues to provide a broad range of opportunities to manage demanding IT projects and address the shortage of appropriately skilled staff. Our resource base, supported by a best of breed training programme, is better placed than many organisations to meet these requirements," he added. FDM said since its July trading update it has continued to trade in line with expectations, and its pipeline of business opportunities is strong. The group said it will pay an interim dividend of 0.6 pence a share, up from 0.5 pence last year. Also expect a revised note from Edison Research to be out later tonight or tomorrow. | tole
07/9/2006 11:47 | Forget LNG it just plummeted and I'm not sure why yet. See we've picked up a little here. | ged5
07/9/2006 09:01 | Bought a few in 2 tranches.....current On a risk/reward this seems a decent opportunity. I've had a few companies reporting in the last few days and have seen profit taking/top slicing in most. As I said, good fundamentals with FDMG. Still plenty of demand in this cycle so hopeful of upside. My own target price on these was 100p - 25% a few days ago. Will go over figures in greater detail later (currently juggling with a baby - not literally!). Seemed impressive bar reduction in cash. Ged _ Just saw post, will be in touch. Regards GHF | glasshalfull
07/9/2006 08:37 | How many you got ghf?? | supreme mo
07/9/2006 08:34 | Yesterday mms were bidding for 25k and you could buy next to nothing. Today, you can buy 15k and only sell a 10a... someone wants to get rid. These results seem absolutely fine to me... I was expecting an uplift in share price .. we shall see... | supreme mo
07/9/2006 08:31 | Still here. As long as markets remain strong FDM will perform very well IMO. Good relationships with blue chip customer base. Downside risk is obviously a global downturn (as pointed out on T.M.F yesterday) so worth keeping a watchful eye out as I'm unsure how they'd cope. Regards GHF | glasshalfull
07/9/2006 08:27 | Agreed results look good at first glance. Will study in more detail later. No hurry to take profits as some have already done. Enjoying the news from one of my miners who brought forward mining start. GHF, Would you mind having a look at LNG who have results coming out at the end of the month? | ged5
07/9/2006 08:19 | Very good figures imho and comments to go with them. You still in bnh glasshalffull??!! | supreme mo |
