Traffic among Middle East operators was down 46% on capacity cut nearly 34%, leading to a 13.5 point fall in load factors.

African operators recorded an 11 point fall in load factors as traffic fell 44.5%, while traffic among Latin American carriers was 39% lower and its load factors 13.5 points down.

IATA has already estimated global passenger traffic in 2020 will be down 48% on the 2019 figure. It expects this to translate into a $314 billion loss in passenger revenues.

If they manage to raise cash and provided the lockdown in South Africa / Zambia lifts around the 20th of May and flights resume, this could well be the great survivor and make anyone getting in now a small fortune. Keep an eye of any big trade in the region of 50k +, this would be more than any normal pi would gamble and would indicate insider knowledge. FJET is on the 100% risk scale!

2000% rise = 1.3p, yes this was over a pound 70 in the 2016 rights issue. Basket cases can and do rise extraordinarily high rises when they are completely bombed out. Remember QXL. It ended up 10000 percent from its all time low

There's talk of the sale of fastjet Zimbabwe but I prefer the notion that Solenta want a UK listing and may be about to table an offer for fastjet PLC (while scooping up some PI shares on the open market).

The 'hot money' that has been pouring into the Dow & Nasdaq this past ten years will have to go somewhere, if the US bubble has popped !!. Why not African stocks ?.

When bombed out stocks discover a life line, strange things happen like 2000 % rises as seen in the last few days with some of the pharma,s springing to life on speculation, Rembrandt this was over 1p not all that long ago and the price reflected a bust situation. Survival could mean a Hugh multi bagger

Budget airliner, Fastjet Zimbabwe has added two new additional direct routes to its network.
Fastjet currently connects the three major cities in Zimbabwe by flying between Harare and Victoria Falls, Harare and Bulawayo and Bulawayo and Victoria Falls.
The airliner says it will this year introduce a new international schedule from Victoria Falls to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA), Nelspruit, South Africa and a return direct domestic flight from Bulawayo to Victoria Falls.
The new routes will take effect in July 2020, increasing the total weekly flights operated by the airline to 138 flights across the network.
"The Victoria Falls to Kruger Mpumalanga flights are available for sale from Wednesday, 29 January 2020. The Bulawayo to Victoria Falls flights will be available for sale from Monday, 3 February 2020," said Fastjet.
The new routes will complement the airlines' convenient daily return services from Harare and Bulawayo to Johannesburg and Harare to Bulawayo and Victoria Falls, connecting local and international travellers on days suitable for both business and leisure travellers.
Said the airline's CEO Joao Sousa:
"We are committed to connecting communities, especially those in search of travel adventures and experiences.
"The new Victoria Falls to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport schedule will leave travellers in awe of one scenic splendour to another.
"With our new routes we are delighted to be supporting tourism, an important sector of the Zimbabwean economy, and to be giving our industry partners in South Africa and Zimbabwe more choices".
