Building On A Successful 2021 – In September 2021, Falcon announced a fivefold increase in the normalised gas flow rate from the Amungee Member B Shale at the Amungee NW-1H well, providing a firm line of sight to achieving initial production rates in the range of 3+MMscf/d per 1,000m lateral from the Amungee Member B shale. Production log data from the Amungee NW-1H well confirmed that 85-95% of production had come from just a 200m horizontal section, equating to a normalised flow rate of 5.2-5.8MMScf/d over a 1,000m horizontal section. These test results significantly exceed the expected commercial threshold of 3.0MMscf/d over a 1,000m section and puts the Beetaloo on a par with other shale gas basins in North America.
 Relevant Technical Experience – Falcon has appointed Tom Layman, a highly experienced petroleum geologist, with significant knowledge of unconventional resources as a NonExecutive Director. The appointment significantly enhances Falcon’s technical experience, with Mr Layman having worked on over 4,000 horizontal and vertical shale and unconventional wells across the US. In particular, we note Mr Layman’s experience at Chesapeake Energy, where he was responsible for exploration in the Marcellus and Barnett basins (amongst others), both of which are geologically similar to the Beetaloo. Mr Layman’s appointment is a major coup for Falcon, with the Company (and Origin Energy) set to benefit from his knowledge as part of the upcoming Stage 3 work programme.
 Record Gas Prices – Australia’s biggest domestic gas supplier and operator of the Darwin LNG facility, Santos sold 13 of its LNG cargoes during Q1/22 at JKM prices – which averaged US$29.3/MMBtu in Q1/22. The strength of natural gas prices in the South East Asia region bodes well for the commercialisation of the Beetaloo, which is just 600km south of the Darwin LNG facilities. Given Falcon’s strategy to monetise its interest in the Beetaloo once commercialisation has been established, we are highly encouraged by the Q1/22 results from some of Falcon’s potential counterparties, with many announcing record revenue and free cash flow.
 Support for Fossil Fuels Key Election Theme – A key theme to the 2022 Australian Federal Election has been the united support for fossil fuels by all the major parties. The coalition has announced or confirmed more than A$870m in funding for fossil fuel developments, with the biggest commitment being the energy and emissions reduction agreement between the federal coalition and the Northern Territory Labor government. The agreement focuses on plans to accelerate gas production in the Beetaloo Basin and increase gas supply from the Northern Territories to Australia’s east coast.

It's full steam ahead for Beetaloo Basin with additional activities included now. Easy to see why Mr.Layman and recent big US investor have come onboard the good ship Falcon. Ahoy there me boyos!

Nice to have Tom Layman onboard with his decades of hands on industry experience. With luck he will dip into the market before long as the share price at Falcon is as cheap as chips.

The usual tight cost control of POQ in evidence once again in today's results. His golden touch with the drillbit will be needed again this Summer of course...

Shares issued will be 1Bn+ now. The premium of the placing price to the current price says a lot about the state of the market these days. Our salvation thankfully will come in the form of a buyout in next year or two.

Some obviously don't need to be concerned with taxes. I see our friend Vekselberg's "$100m Gin Palace" has been gripped by the US authorities. How did old Baldy Craven become embroiled with such a thieving charlatan?

Nice piece in Irish edition of Sunday Times. Says market has not yet grasped/validated the significance of Mr.Sheffield's "Buyin" at Falcon and Beetaloo in particular.

Ah so US$6m goes to the TOG Group. Leaves US$4m from the placing. Numis likes this deal and so do I.

Nice find ohisay. They paid a slight premium which is always good to see and puts their investment on our level. I also like the line which makes Falcon more noticeable to other shale investors. Like I said yesterday, the Far East Majors might now act or miss the boat.

Logan, This is an exploration outfit with no income so near constant fundraising is an essential feature until prospects are proved up and the Company is sold. Endless patience will be rewarded but understandable frustration is also hard to take on the road to riches.
