Fairdeal I know what you mean about the rubbish. If you could just do us one last favour on the BEM board and ban N3tleyLucas, it would be much appreciated.

If you follow the board you will see that he has trashed it since the weekend.
Thanks and good luck.

I started this and other threads in the hope of helping share information about undervalued shares. When I started posting in 2008 the markets were dire and incredible buying opportunities were available.

Today, three years on, stocks have been battered down once again and the opportunities now are comparable to 2008 if not better.

Right now the discussion sites should represent an open forum to discuss shares and suggest opportunities.

Regrettably the boards are increasingly populated by malevolent posters and some utter rubbish is posted, often to damage the price of perfectly decent shares.

I have decided that the best approach personally is to focus on the markets and reduce my exposure to the negativity of the bulletin boards.

There is a substantial amount of potential gains coming to those with the ability to hold and build through these challenging times.

Wish you folks all the best.

I liked this thread. Haven't checked in for ages. Take a look at LDP and their dirt cheap stake in millions of tonnes of coal.

Hi Fair, seen youve been building a nice position in ALO. The company is currently firming up a work programme for the 5 licenses in Mauritania and they are looking to spend the £2mill on further acquisitions with a key focus on Gold and Africa, mainly grass roots or little work.

Mauritania is very attractive at the moment and as i understand O'connor has a good relationship with the authorities so expect more licenses in this area imo.

Cheers

Ok Fairdeal2008 has gave me permission to post here:)

Check out sound oil (sou) - unloved and off the radar but 2011 should see that change:)

Mkt cap £18m fully diluted
Cash in hand (my calcs) £9.1m
New £10m SEDA facility from Yorkville

Core Assets - Italy and Indonesia (Oil and Gas)

Italy - recent acquisition from Consul Oil and Gas (96% owned with option for further 4%) - 17 Licenses - 2 drills planned for 2011

Indonesia:
Java - 3 exploration wells in 2011 (20% carry)
Kalimanantan - 2 exploration wells in 2011 (5% carry)

Summary, 7 wells drilling in 2011, cashed up to Q3 2012, £9m cash and access to £10m SEDA from Yorkville. RAB Capital now own 25% of Consul. Large seller in background from recent placing, should be clearing soon. Many of the
new shareholders are locked in for 12 months.

Circular, some good stuff in here

Italian assets - bit over my head, but some good info
