Given up with this one or now, in the bottom draw. Results due imminently but unless I see significant management buying afterwards then I fear a stitch up. Both major shareholders sitting on huge paper losses of over £2.30 per share (£100m + each) within 3 months of buying, it stinks literally.

I'm well aware that there are issues with Russian exposed equities at the moment but the management need to put their money where their mouths are after the results are issued.

Yes, give or take a few. As loglorry pointed out margins are a bit skinny, let's see if they've managed to improve them with the upscale in production. I'll be interested to see what their drilling plans are for this year.

520mmbbls actually but who's counting.

Profit per bbl isn't great though. Few different metrics but they don't make a huge profit per bbl right now.

Added today, kicking myself for not adding around 140 but it could have kept dropping. Plus ce chance.

What doesn't add up for me is why Gazprombank would extend a line of credit to Sinclair when they knew full well that in the absence of a bid the price would crash. If Sinclair don't stump up the rest of the cash then Gazprombank are left holding the baby at a potentially huge loss. I can only assume Sinclair still haven't settled as they haven't made a move to get representation on the BOD.

Pumping 19k a day and 500mbbls P2 (+ new acreage), all to play for imo.

Certainly looks better than 2 weeks ago.

from what i can see, the business case is better than 3 months ago.

ignoring the takeover talk and the spike we are at a lower price than 6 months ago but production is up about 25%.

wmunsi20, yep it's been a sh@t month, I see it found support @ 140. We'll see where it goes from here but someone obviously wants stock at this level. Do I smell Borscht?

methinks this is just the "collect stock cheaply" pause for a few weeks, months, before the real takeover bid happens.

Yep, I only hold a very small position, resisted the temptation to sell at the top which was a pity because I could easily have doubled my money. Will continue to hold and at these levels will probably add a few more

What an absolute dog this is turning out to be. No support whatsover, trading at a fraction of it's NAV. It's 2 largest shareholders sitting on paper losses of £100m a piece in the space of little over a month.

Operationally the management are meeting every target, no net debt and profitable but I don't think the institutions will touch this until the situation is clarified. The market obviously sees a Russian stitch up, remains to see whether they are right or not.

Bit of a sickener really.

Thanks prefab, when I did my rough calculation I counted from the beginning of the new year forgetting about the December bit - date for my diary.

Technocat, payment will be due 3/4 april. If they fail to pay then the shares will revert back to Gazprombank, after that then who knows.
