"Current market forecasts suggest over 350 million users by 2021 and last year saw $3 billion invested in virtual and alternative reality."

by THE WAY....do you know who ...THE WHO are!??

“In 1971, Pete Townshend wrote a science fiction musical called Lifehouse about a future where people didn’t have to leave home to get real life experiences from outside their four walls, we thought it was mad! But he proved to be right and MelodyVR have managed to bring this to life.”

– Roger Daltrey of The Who

all the above is in the article below

WORLD’S FIRST DEDICATED VIRTUAL REALITY MUSIC PLATFORM NOW AVAILABLE

MelodyVR, the world’s first dedicated virtual reality music platform that enables fans to experience music performances in a revolutionary new way, is now available.

The revolutionary MelodyVR app offers music fans an incredible selection of immersive performances from today’s biggest artists. Fans are transported all over the world to sold-out stadium shows, far-flung festivals and exclusive VIP sessions, and experience the music they love.

What MelodyVR delivers is a unique and world-class set of original experiences, created with multiple vantage points, to give fans complete control over what they see and where they stand at a performance. By selecting different Jump Spots, MelodyVR users can choose to be in the front row, deep in the crowd, or up-close-and-personal with the band on stage. They can stand alongside KISS amidst an explosion of confetti, catch the London Symphony Orchestra from the middle of the action or steal a moment alone with Sigrid as she plays catchy choruses under clear blue skies. These are truly unobtainable experiences – better than the best seats in the house.

With fresh performances rolling out weekly, the MelodyVR app is now available in the UK and United States – initially via Oculus Go and Samsung GearVR devices – and offer users an extraordinary selection of pre-recorded performances, original content and curated Journeys to choose from and purchase. As such, it will undoubtedly revolutionise the way fans connect with artists and experience music. Over the coming months, MelodyVR will live stream concerts via Virtual Reality and offer virtual tickets to sold-out shows with the biggest artists, enabling an unlimited number of fans to attend in-demand concerts around the globe.

Earlier today, MelodyVR and its parent company EVR Holdings, announced a fundraise of $30 million dollars, taking total funding to over $70 million to-date. The additional capital raised today will be used to fuel corporate expansion globally and to launch the MelodyVR product in additional international markets.

As the only licensed VR music platform, MelodyVR has secured partnerships across the industry, including major and independent labels and publishers, and teamed up with a remarkable array of international artists including 2 Chainz, Rag‘n’Bone Man and Niall Horan to build the world’s largest library of immersive and interactive virtual reality music experiences.

With standalone VR headsets like the Oculus Go now available at an extremely accessible price point ($199), the already vibrant VR market is set to grow exponentially over the coming years. Current market forecasts suggest over 350 million users by 2021 and last year saw $3 billion invested in virtual and alternative reality.

“As an artist you’re always trying to break down the barrier between you and your fans. MelodyVR takes this to a whole new level.” – Niall Horan

“We had this great opportunity to work with Melody VR on our European Tour which was very exciting because we put a lot of work into our show and production. We travel with videographers year-round capturing our show but the footage they were able to get and angles is unlike anything we have ever seen and we are in the show ourselves.” – Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers

“MelodyVR was founded to deliver new and amazing ways for music fans to connect with the artists they love. We’re thrilled to have launched our platform in the US and the UK and we look forward to launching globally over the coming months,” says MelodyVR founder and CEO Anthony Matchett. “We’re hugely excited to provide music fans across-the-globe with amazing, immersive VR performances from the world’s most recognisable and loved artists.”

@the patient investor

Your revenue per paying user ($5 x 12months) is in the right area.

There may eventually be 17.5m paying users, but that could be some time away.

What I can't see is, how you worked out 'Almost HALF A BILLION PROFIT' from $1,050m turnover. Where do you get a near 50% net profit margin from ?

The 'information' we know of (so far), is the 17% GP being fairly static.

So, $1,050 x 17% = $178.5m Gross Profit.
Less (purely an assumption) admin/dist costs $73.5m
PBT = £105m ... a nice round 10% :o)

Hopefully those calculations are correct, so I'm not criticised ! lol

Can anyone answer my 'Warrants' question from #4893 ?

Expect this to break back up through the 50 day moving average soon and then test the previous high of 19p.

5% of 350 million users is 17.5 millions
5$ x 12 x 17.5 million = ... do your calculation kid

It is 1050 million

It is therefore over ONE BILLION DOLLARS REVENUE

DO the currency conversion in sterling and take away Op. Costs we have

Almost HALF A BILLION PROFIT

honestly, this is 10 year old maths

Taking 'the patient investors' figure of $42m, and changing the currency sign to pounds sterling ;^) of £42m.

EVRH's Gross Margin is expected to be 17%, so £7.14m Gross Profit.

From which admin/distribution costs of £15m, would still leave a net loss.

As a guestimate, I'd imagine they'd need £150m turnover to break even.
£150 * 17% = £25.5m Gross Profit.
Increased admin/distribution costs of £25m.
£0.5m Net Profit.

Profit Before Tax has been estimated (by investec) to be £9.0m on £246m turnover, but not sure what that would extrapolate to if turnover hit £1b - although that's not anticipated to happen within the next 5 years.

Whilst I'm here, can anyone explain why, on the recent 'Exercise of Warrants' RNS (sorry to bring that word up again ! lol), they don't show the Sony/Universal/Warner or more recent director warrants ? Unless I've missed something obvious.

p.s. @TrumpingtonSmythe - Took me a while to fall in about your 'tenner' quip ! lol

Here you go:the Company is now revenue generative and that early user engagement numbers and metrics have proven to be positive. So perhaps you need to give it time, it's not for you right now.
