21/8/2017 08:37 | What Shareprophets dont appreciate is that EVRs portfolio of licenses, which keeps growing, makes them very attractive to a potential predator ! | nurdin
20/8/2017 13:09 | potential massive here backed up by bullish press coverage in recent weeks and still well under the radar. Yes, profit still some time away but who needs profit when you have a company at the right end of the nascent VR market that will take off BIG time over the next 1-2 years. Plus there won't be any need for more cash yet so should see steady rise in SP | jambam
19/8/2017 10:00 | BackTogo - I would love the figures you have:"Melody VR then pays an extortionate royalty when any of this content is sold."the clock is ticking and I have decisions to make, we are all in this together, share and share alike. If, as you say this is going sub 6p and "adeles punt is toast" (what is her punt anyway - value and cost per share will do?) I want to work it out (DYOR) as people say and you can help me so I'm asking nicely, please tell me what the royalty agreement is, don't make me beg! | trumpingtonsmythe
19/8/2017 09:46 | Should give the share price a decent boost on Monday | nurdin
18/8/2017 14:26 | Ok, I see, it is the same whatever. So you can tell me what royalty %ages I can apply then as you have those from your mate, they are the same. That will give me info to work out if it's a goer or not, that's all I was after. | trumpingtonsmythe
18/8/2017 13:35 | VR is not a different situation In the eyes of the rights holder. They don't give a toss what the medium is.if you want to use their artist, their work, their brand and fan base to make yourself money.. you have to pay the going rate.Be that via TV, radio, compilation albums .. whatever (vr). | backtogo
18/8/2017 11:44 | Sorry mate you said the experience your mate had wasn't in vr just music and I took that to mean it wasn't directly pertinent to what is a very different situation. You used this to assert you knew the royalties were extortionate but you don't actually know. So a more rounded statement would be 'if it's like the deals my mate knows about in the current music industry it will be tricky to make money but I'm not party to the actual figures so it's down to what has been negotiated by Melody' can anyone help me with those figures or is this subject just speculation? | trumpingtonsmythe
18/8/2017 11:09 | i didn't say VR is different? east ender just shown us.. revenue share.. and it won't be chump change rev share if you want to produce someone like ed sheeran lolAll other costs of recording/marketing/ | backtogo
18/8/2017 09:34 | Here you go.. backtogo, from the horses mouth.... That’s why MelodyVR went looking for deals with the major labels. The company is thought to have been offering revenue-share based agreements rather than going down the path of advance payments. Matchett declined to comment on the specifics, although he talked more generally. “We’re aware that with the traditional streaming services, a lot of people have struggled to turn a profit: to make enough turnover to cover their costs,” he says. “A lot of streaming services are lossmaking, so with VR we are trying to see how we can inject a bit more value into the premium content, while making sure our deals ensure we’re not lossmaking.” | eastender boy
18/8/2017 08:42 | As you said though VR is different. It's new and when it comes to my money I don't think I should 'guess' You could be wrong, agreed? | trumpingtonsmythe
18/8/2017 08:21 | I've got a damn good guess based on what others pay. | backtogo
17/8/2017 17:41 | Anyone agree double bottom so should see a reversal? | rlivsey
17/8/2017 12:16 | JakNife, The market is massive for music VR and nobody is expecting just one company to control 100% of it. In reference to your question re the coldplay stream.. The Coldplay concert was agreed way in advance with warners coldplay (as they like to be in cutting edge tech to try and keep their name current with their followers) Samsung (as they want to shift their galaxy vr phones) live nation (as they want to add vr sells to their ticket websites), CITI bank (as they want to attract young new customers) and also NextVR who are filming it (as they have their app already up and running for VR sports and are the biggest VR filming company out there at present) As a comparison NextVR were worth over $800M back in August 2016 after their $80M fundraising. EVRH are currently worth approx one tenth of that after raising £8.4M of funding since nov 2016 So you can see the potential for moving forward. EVRH do indeed have the largest library of recorded VR content for live music concerts in the world as other large VR companies concentrate mainly on sport and film At present EVRH has filmed over 540 artists. The feedback they have received from the Beta app is that people like to view approx. 30 mins at a time of VR music which splits into big concert experience and intimate studio experience and with this feedback EVRH has evolved from its original focus and are now filming 50% of live concerts but also 50% of their own original bespoke content. This part is key regarding rights. As with anything time will tell who is correct. | eastender boy
17/8/2017 11:55 | So now you're claiming they're lying stating ""Having worked with over 500 international recording artists and musicians, MelodyVR currently holds the world’s largest library of VR music content." ? Not an unexpected angle of attack from you Jaknife. | igbertsponk |
