Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases continue to rise across the globe. Over 54.3 million people have been infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) – the causative agent of COVID-19 – and 1.31 million have lost their lives.

Scientists in Taiwan recently published a report on their use of anti-neutrophil strategies to treat acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) – a life-threatening condition that can arise in critical COVID-19 cases – in the journal Frontiers in Pediatrics.

An opportunity has arisen for a Research Technician to support our internationally leading lung Infection laboratory at the University of Dundee. The group studies a range of lung infections including COVID-19.

You will be expected to provide high quality technical assistance to Professor Chalmers and the other members of the research team. Core tasks will include processing biological samples, isolating inflammatory cells such as neutrophils and measuring response to treatments using techniques such as ELISA and flow cytometry.

You will support the principal investigator, post-docs and PhD students as part of a multidisciplinary team, performing laboratory research to a high standard, organising study data and supervising undergraduates.

This may have been covered already, do you see any updates around the breast cancer trials in the near future. I am expecting an update with the interim results coming up, but was wondering if anything was due imminently.

Yep, somewhat tiresome Bumpa, but he's the condescending, sanctimonious hypocrite, who has instigated this exchange...he has made it clear from the start that he doesn't like me speculating Evgen's prospects and potential on th EVG thread.....now if I was doing the same on the SNG thread then fair enough, but I ain't....i'm just batting back the ball, he likes dishing it out thinking that he's superior and always right, but he ain't and he moans like a spoiled child when he gets it back...anyways , enough said.....hopefully more news in the pipeline and will be very interesting to learn how many patients have been administered so far. Gl.;-)

Jeez, are you having a laugh...you've spent your time promoting SNG on the EVG thread whilst boasting and revelling about your £225k profit, and take every chance you can of criticising me, full of derision and spite at every move I make, in speculating and highlighting EVG's prospects and potential on the EVG thread...you're a hypocrite of the highest order and deserve what you get...Kharma is a wonderful thing....and when you were selling all your SNG at £2...were you advising other holders and the sheep that follow to do the same?

You have no idea of my trading and sorry to disappoint you but I took out out a significant amount of profit around the £2 level once the open offer was announced. Hopefully they will bounce big again when their phase 3 trials are confirmed and those caught out will make good ground on any losses, although in the meantime, comeuppance of the highest order for the self-proclaimed experts and sanctimonious self-righteous know it all's that boast and revel about their ( £225k!!! )profits on the EVG thread whilst trying to undermine EVG at the same time....ha ha ha...Gl to most, but not all....On and UP!!! ..:-)
