Most certainly agreed, but with the caveat that if the company has a short term funding requirement and they are relying on an equity based raise to meet that requirement, then it is important (for all concerned) that the the share price accurately reflects the company's prospects.

Fortunately Evgen are no longer in a situation where they need to raise funds in the short term

Regarding the patent news yesterday, I would normally agree that such news is largely irrelevant as far as company valuation and prospects are concerned, mainly due to the fact that patent grant is normally priced in and the market rarely understands the strength and depth of the claims granted (there is little point having a patent granted that has weak claims that are easy to circumvent, or having a patent application filed that is subsequently abandoned or has its claims emasculated).

However, if you have a detailed look at pages 73 and 74 of the AIM admission document:

You can see that there was previously considerable doubt over the validity of the claims in EP 2796140 (due to the prior art disclosed in FR 2,888,235), but with the granting of this patent these doubts are largely removed and this significantly improves the overall IP position for the company.

Hi, Nobbygnome - shall be interested to discuss the science - we "interacted" on IMM and maybe your thoughts contributed in a small way to me exiting IMM with substantial profits intact! I was a bit pessimistic on the size of the IMM drop out - I posted that it looked to me from the RNSs that the number completing the trial would be in the 130s - it was reported as just over 150.

Hi, Nobbygnome. Not invested in EVG, but will be interested in your expert opinion of EVG & it's prospects. You've never looked at another AIM listed biopharma, Amryt (AMYT), by any chance? Amryt is chaired by Harry Stratford, who set up Shire (SHP) in 1986.

Nobby Wide spread at moment and printing bid side so I would look to buy nearer 15pBerney will be upset as he is trying to puff the shares and get all investors to pay up!! We know his sort don't we Nobby!!My tgt is 35p but expecting some weakness..15p to 17p is the buying price I think

Hi all

Some of you may know me from the IMM thread where I correctly called the failed phase III trial mainly based on the science but also the flawed format of the clinical trials. I have just come across Evgen and am now going to look at all the science behind sulforaphane from a standing start. Can anyone point me towards some relevant references please? I am sure I will be able to find them but it would certainly save me some time.
