I only really trade shares for a hobby I take a little profit and keep some freebies for my "pension" until now my pension portfolio only amassed to just over 26k so never really worried about tax side of things now this year I have had really good runs with paf,,sula, sun and emh which means I have made enough to pay cgt.
EMH has taken 3 months and numerous attempts to break 40p then in about 6 days is knocking on the door of 80p.
I have got 75000 shares still which at 72.5 p is enough to pay off my mortgage and most of the cgt that the sale would incur. (not something I really thought about until the figures say that I could.)
I am not rich but dont have any financial worries, love my job, happily married for over 30 years, emh at this price is just a bonus.
On saying that will see about an isa :-]

You pay tax? There are such things as SIPPs and ISAs!

I sold 25000 today at 72.5 I have been trading these but I cant trade to make profit as I am already in the realms of paying cgt on shares this year so to trade for profit EMH need to drop more than 18% or any gains would be lost to tax, so I can only trade to get free shares.

You just reminded me of a guy I used to work with who always spoke about himself in the third person. He would say things like "I suggest that Smith speak to the Chairman of the whatever committee" At this point, I would interject and say "But you are Smith and you are the Chairman of the committee." His reply would be that the conversation (with himself) needed to be correctly minuted.

Something similar once happened to me Cyfalafwr, but the bill came to $337k, luckily by the time it was discovered and rectified the shares had moved up 5%.

What do people guesstimate will be the size of the resource in terms of tonnage and % grades (if that's the correct expression) and gross value? Just curious to compare the values placed on different cos by the mkt.

I admit it, I'm one of those evil traders. I sold out half my stake yesterday evening at 1.80 and bought back this morning at 1.73. I'm happy to have a few % more shares as a result. But now I'm wondering if I shouldn't buy more at this level. Because my guess is that, by the time the PFS is published, EMH's share price will be 120p-150p.

I do find it strange, and thought it a tree-shake, but it hasn't recovered fast enough. It may partly be due to the failure to break 80 two mornings in a row, taken as a double-top by Chartists (which s what I should have done) - maybe there are just no more buyers. I should have stuck to my original plan not to try to trade this stock - the climbs have been deserving, and based on news, but just too fast and I shouldn't've trusted them. Still the best-placed lithium mine in the world with great prospects long-term.

Shares never go up in a straight line and I suspect that many investors were watching carefully for a pull back with the intention of selling and then buying back in. Let's see what this afternoon brings.

Anyone else finding activity today a little strange? Still seems massively undervalued...
