"The Holmwood prospect has been assigned gross mean prospective resources of 5.6 million boe with a range of 1 to 11 million barrels. Were it to come in at 5.6 million boe, Holmwood would become the fifth largest onshore oil field in the UK".

In the case of success, 20% of what you think this is worth.

As I understand it this is only based on the traditional Portland reservoir, anything from the Kimmeridge would be a bonus. But I think that no-one has so far produced anything from the Kimmeridge limestone. So a good sustained flow test from the Kimmeridge at any of Brockham, Broadford Bridge, Horse Hill or Balcombe would be a plus for prospects at Holmwood.

But all rational considerations go out of the window if we can only get a feeding frenzy like at UKOG!

GWB - just the Kimmeridge. When I found out about Balcombe AFTER I heard of HH it cast a lot of doubt in my mind about the claims that were being made because Cuadrilla actually dropped their planning permission request for the well test after they had drilled it. Really intriguing to see them back.

Fullbright: I think logic tells us that the spike prior to November's meeting will now be less than 7p. However before that we will have correspondents at the Wressle Appeal and although judgement won't be known for a few weeks after my guess is that that will raise the share price if it looks good in court. With full planning permission and confirmation that the drill will go ahead in January I would expect a significant rise up to Spud Date - certainly greater than 10p - however there are some risk factors outside our control and that is down to ANGS and UKOG raising enough funds to pay for their share of the well. Neither seem to have enough cash at the moment.

Also very shortly we will have our results out - should be very encouraging in terms of our profitability and cash reserves - mindful of the fact that we are fully covered for all costs of the Holmwood drill.

What do folks think the value of impending / full planning permission gives to the share price .... 2p, 3p, more ?!?

I'm sorry. How's does Balcombe affect us? Is it just the Kimmeridge. If you think I'm daft, you should spend a day with currypasty.

I think somewhere along the line in one of his many interviews about his gas Lenigas mentioned oil flow at Balcombe or maybe somewhere else. The conundrum for Lenigas is that Balcombe was drilled before HH yet he takes the credit for discovering the Kimmeridge. If that is the case why did Cuadrilla - a fracking company but with oil interests as well - decide sometime before HH was drilled to go horizontal into the limestone? Remembering of course that HH was looking for gas not oil and they didn't find gas. I suspect that Doriemus is about to get involved at Balcombe - hence the nature of the Proactive interview earlier this week.

"The exploration well at Balcombe was drilled to a vertical depth of 2,700ft and horizontally to a length of some 1,714ft, with work commencing in August 2013 and completing in September 2013. No hydraulic fracturing was carried out and Cuadrilla has confirmed that as the target rock – a limestone layer – is naturally fractured".

They never said whether it flowed any oil, but must have got a good idea as to whether it would.

All good comments Jus. You should be given a medal by EOG for your input. Maybe they can book the drill bit in readiness.

Still reflecting on yesterday and watched the whole meeting again. Despite all the negative comments, protestor comments and further discussion I just can't believe that the fencing application flew through. Downright strange given the voting on the deferral hence my comments about how I think the councillors really are concentrating on making sure their constituents aren't unduly inconvenienced rather than grandstanding for the antifracking voters.

The protestors did themselves no favours at all and you could see looks of despair on the councillors faces as they came up with the same old drivel. There was no comment made and none needed that Holmwood (and for that matter HH later) was not a fracking site.

It is a real shame and a problem with the way the council's standing orders operate that our planners could not reply to the comments being made about the TMP. They had the answers there and could have given them - but they weren't allowed to speak and neither could Hugh have. As it turns out our planners must have done an exceptional job on the fencing issue because their are a lot of surprised people out there that it got passed!

I think all in all very fair result yesterday and absolutely no problem getting this through now in November as long as they don't move the goalposts with the letter to Hugh about the deferral.

Hugh and his team now need to engage with the locals as advised by the chairman because if I was living next door to this development even as a major shareholder here I would want to see as little inconvenience to me as possible during the work period.

Fullbright .. it is not challenging a condition it is reporting back to committee on further information they require. Important to note that the committee can now only discuss the points they have deferred the rest of the conditions are deemed now to have been met and cannot be raised again.

As I stated previously - I have now completed my summary and sent it to Hugh - the motion to defer was on two very specific points.

a) the use of Cobham Service station. That is done and dusted. Cobham service station has its own dedicated area for HGVs and welcomes drivers to stay there as long as they like.

b) How will Banksmen oversee late running trucks. I would assume that will be a simple answer such as all late running trucks will be advised to continue on their way and return in the morning.

That's it. That is all of it. There is no more. They cannot add to a motion they voted on for lots of reasons (democracy being one) but in planning they are limited to the motion... end of story.

Ride,

lol, the wolf hound suit and a polished heed might have been enough to do the trick, would have distracted SCC at least.

Thanks GD.

Let me put any concerns you may have to bed right now...
I have just reviewed the tape and as Hugh told me last night if they had been allowed to answer these questions at yesterdays hearing it would have been over in a minute which is longer than it took me to find this hxxp://www.extraservices.co.uk/trucks/

Trucks are allowed to use Cobham service station and the charge if they overstay the 3 hours is £30 - yes that's right £30 for 24 effin hours. The area provided by Extra is dedicated to trucks and they can stay there for a month for £900 if they want to.

The only other point - THAT THEY VOTED ON - which is probably not what Hugh is going to receive is about how Banksmen will operate with overrunning vehicles INCLUDING a comment about their working hours and tachographs. Their solicitor stated quite categorically that they could not control these through a TMP yet they carried on and voted on it anyway.

I'll write this up in more detail for Hugh but I am off to buy a hat made out of Horse Manure that I promise I will eat if this doesn't get passed in November.

I would also point out that on reflection of the events of the meeting I would put forward the notion that all the councillors behaved and acted as they should and the deferment was a reflection of their genuine interest in ensuring that the TMP proposed would cause the least disruption to the locals. I do not consider that any of them acted in a predetermined way to prevent or delay the drill. It is most unfortunate that the planning officers were unaware of Truck Parking facilities at a motorway service station.

Ive put several buy orders in.. just in case market makers are in a playful mood

Im disappointed with outcome, think Hugh could have done a lot more, but we are getting there. Fence was a big issue sorted, traffic plan MUST be sorted to their liking next meeting! As Jus says, delay will be minimal.
