I don't suppose hugh can do anything about Wressel or druid. Holmwood is his problem however we are up against the mob.

Jusmasel99 I think the Diablo ridge is supposed to have charged Drombeg, not likely to be a target in itself?

Well as the old EOG investor saying goes CP - "this time last year I was going to be a millionaire"

LOL

its a pity I don't make money out of an enlarged mcap due to placings

In addition the possibility of gas is mentioned - if that is the case I think there is a read across from the Flemish Pass with regard to gas being on one side of the basin and oil on the other. ... probably wrong .. don't know anything about geology ... IMHO ...DYOR ... (is that OK with you Dunderhead?)

Ah but Mr CP our Mcap has increased, we have more money than we need in the bank and the number of prospects/licences we have has been materially increased. Engine primed - ready for take off....

On a brighter note .. a really interesting report from some months ago .. that ties in to the Druid result and what Hugh said about it "not unexpected". It seems Cairn were a tad more pessimistic about Druid than PVR noting the fluid phase had some uncertainty.

Druid and Dromberg are large stacked fan systems. estimated by Providence to contain in place mean unrisked prospective resources of 3.18bnbbl for Druid and 1.915bnbbl for Drombeg. Druid consists of two Paleocene fans while Drombeg is a Lower Cretaceous deepwater fan sitting around 1,000m below Druid. Providence interprets the seismic anomaly seen in Druid as an oil water contact, although Cairn sees more uncertainty regarding the fluid phase and estimates that Druid/Drombeg could contain around 0.6bnbbls or >3TCF Pmean recoverable resources.

The report from which this is extracted is worth a read as it also features the PMO Zama well before it was drilled plus the upcoming JOG wells Verbier and the other one whose name escapes me.

I see no mention of the Diablo target that lies underneath Drombeg which with all its squiggly lines looks as exciting as I can interpret with my lack of knowledge.

Let's say Wressle was in production, Holmwood had a definite drilldate and Kosmos was going ahead with a drill in the Porcupine.. would you still be saying that or questioning his ability to deliver?

Credit where credit is due. EOG was founded by Paul, Erika and WIlliam. P&E got things going. They got Holmwood, they got us into the Porcupine. They also got us into a lot of failures. I don't know how much bad luck was involved in all of that.

But I do know Hugh since he has taken over has had an amazing mixture of good and bad luck. UK planning has nearly scuppered our industry but he has persevered and eventually Holmwood will be drilled and Wressle brought into production. Kosmos pulling out was a blow but the Irish licencing round proved it had nothing to do with the potential of the Porcupine.

He has a managed to obtain a portfolio of additional assets to be explored. He got us the farm in with Kosmos and Cairn. He has done several deals (and placings) that have found us cash. He has been in charge of the company through a massive decline in the Oil Price.

Holmwood by pure chance has become a very interesting and potentially very valuable asset. Hardstoft, Cloughton, Corrib - even potentially Corrib have all got exciting potential in the pipeline.

He has divested from France - wisely as it turns out give the recent news from there and who knows we may even be involved in the next UK Offshore licencing round.

In my opinion he hasn't done badly - maybe there is somebody who could do better but I certainly know there are more that can do worse.

Are your comments all sparked off by Wressle, Holmwood and Druid? Yes these are continuing disappointing delays with a major duster thrown in to the mix, but Wressle and Holmwood will happen - no doubt about it. We are after all an exporation company so even if the Porcupine turns out to be a damp squib it's just part of the game and we move on.

Its not long ago everybody was talking about Berenx being the potential company maker...

IMHO Hugh has delivered ... no question about it.

Soemone was asking earlier about Hugh 'delivering'?
Why do they think there are good chances of this occurring as time continues marching ever onwards?
nice words about how interested the industry was in the eog irish assets and the Cairn farm-in?
Was he responsible for the Holmwood assets or was that before his time? Serious question - I dont know and dont ahve time to research?

All imho but when you analyse delivery to date versus big talk (!) and time involved, aren't the chances are that this status will continue?
ie wake up and smell the coffee folks regarding 'non-delivery' to date and what does that tell you!!

I will be the first to humbly eat my words if there is a big deal going on in background - but as time goes by - so I think this is less and less likely?
Sensible responses please and all of the above is caveated by being all imho!

Well if charts could actually be used to predict the future our chart indicates a massive oil column in Drombeg. .....

Followed by news of an invasion of bats into Holmwood that don't hibernate.

The danger is Holmwood gets delayed past the available window for the Bats. If that happens and it's looking like the most likely scenario to me then Holmwood will be put back 12 months.

There was a lot of news when the price was raised for the placing.... Now nothing...

That said, I doubt they know anything about Drombeg and Holmwood needs some tweaking.

Still very confident that I will make some money here.

good post on the 'asylum'

Aaaah 6p... is this EOG back at home sweet home or a buying opportunity? We need some clarity from the company on the Holmwood planning - what is left to cover off and when it will happen. Specifically what is left to be approved before we can start the digging. What legal redress is available if the learned councillors of Nimby-on-Molehill don't deliver and how long that would take???

Well said Ed. We have a tug of war on the share price between Drombeg and BB-1. Drombeg will be out of the way soon if bad and only BB-1 positives will remain IMO. At just over the recent funding price, the current share price is a gift.

Roger,

Rocket fuel order has been placed by Hugh, it'll arrive as we approach TD on Holmwood-1. We may have some choppy waters in the mean time though approaching from the west. But that extreme bout of turbulence should pass by the end of August.

Regards,
Ed.
