Morning all,

Let's face up to it, the story from here on in needs to be very convincing if any investor is going to buy into this share...I'm down a small fortune myself - that's the way it goes sometimes - some you win some you lose.

Big ouch!

Not just the PI's averaging down then! Would've thought they want at least 5m

hi momentos.. no need to apologise.

before the rights, they had 49,315,898 shares (29.59 %) which were bought at 20p and much higher. So even if we take 30p as their average, that lot cost them £15m (I do know they were buying in 70p region as well). So if the rest were bought at 5p, (£6m)... they paid £21m for their holding.

Ah, I stand corrected! Apologies Ed....

And they haven't sold one. Probably cost them 10m to buy over the period. Any bets on their minimum out, somehow I don't think its 1.25m (0.75p)

afternoon all.

talk about hilarious. We all know its Hermes, and they've been selling for a while now, even before the talks started. They didnt suddenly decide to sell yesterday (which Indy has presumed).

If talks were off, they would have announced it as soon as it became apparent. That 14m trade was done at 10:41. So Eurodis has nearly 6 hours to issue a "no longer in talks" statement.

Yesterday we saw something similar to what happened late last year when fidelity capitulated and sold their final tranche for what ever price they were offered. However, this time round its no where near as many as fidelity sold (they sold 80m @ 1p). Yesterday's 14m sale @ 0.75p to KLWT (I presume) has been quickly taken out by buyers and it looks like they have very little of that left on their books. In fact the buying price soon after was higher than what it was on thursday. More over buys actually appeared as buys, which is another sign that the overhang is hopefully out of the way.

GM all...from "The Independent" today:

'A big sale of shares in Eurodis Electron sparked fears that negotiations with an electronics distributor may be off. The shares fell 0.13p to 0.92p.'

Could this provoke a comment from the management?

Missed all the excitement yesterday-nice to see Hermes out of the way.

European CEM-market still going strong (CEM - contract electronics manufacturers):

The European CEM-industry remains one of the most important sectors within the electronics market, according to a study made by Reed Electronics Research.

July 07, 2005 05:38 (ElectronicsWeekly)

Following the recovery after years of recession, the Western European CEM industry will expand from EUR 19.7bn to EUR 47.1bn by 2009. The advantage Eastern Europe offers in terms of cost savings will result in the region experiencing stronger growth with CEM industry reaching EUR 11bn by 2009, up from an estimated EUR 4bn in 2004, according to the study.

Breakdown in regions of the European CEM-market in 2004 (%):
Germany: 23
UK: 18.1
Eastern Europe: 16.8
France: 13
Scandinavia: 9.4
Italy: 8.4
Rest: 11.5

rct - don't laugh but I have a Natwest brokerline account... high charges and takes anything up to 3 or 4 minutes to do a deal - can be nerve racking when crashing through a stop loss...

At least they pass on price improvements which I understand Halifax don't...

I think its the mm who might select the reporting method? I have sold shares in the same co twice in one day and the first might show up on advfn and the second on virt-x. Hence I think it depends on the mm.

I ought to get another broker, but then I only opened the account to dabble...

About 4 years ago... (hollow laugh)

Got level 2 recently (!!) which helps but doesn't stop me picking dogs...

However I'm sure ELH will come good this time.

O/T Also into PRO (AARRGH): YOO (dodgy - but on the drop @ 4.5p) and CCO (I challenge you not to be intrigued by the story behind this one if you don't know it - also a stock favoured by Steven Lempriere. If you haven't heard of him then check out his RL thread - highly enlightening!)

Have a good weekend all.
