We've now all heard about the nugget effect, but what about the boulders?

A few years ago a read a story about an African diamond mine, where for decades they'd employed a crusher set to an industry standard. I forget the size but let's say 10mm.

Due to a freak mechanical fault the crusher was broken, but production had to continue until parts arrived, so the crusher was set to a higher scale, say 20mm...so bigger chunks had to be processed...and to their amazement they discovered loads of large diamonds!

It appears that for decades they'd been crushing the big diamonds down to make lots of small ones!

Doh.

Geology is full of anomalies, like the nugget effect. But what if we get boulders? Will they even be recognised?

Similar story about the largest alexandrite, discovered in a store room years after the mine had closed!

I do like alexandrite, and actually have a ring with some tasmanian alexandrite. I don't wear it, it's too damn big. Such a rare stone...rarer than diamond!

...the shop selling Eurasia shares often opens quite late, but yes news is coming and it aught to be a catalyst for more buying and higher share price

Mining on going at Kluchki open pit, with current state approved reserves of 893,000m3 of platinum and gold bearing gravels.

Russian standard C1 and C2 Reserves were recalculated for the Kluchiki Area following the 2018 drilling program. In accordance with the applicable laws and regulations complete reserves statement will be provided on receipt of confirmation of the reserves from the subsoil agency.
