08/4/2019 13:50 | Gold flying, near £1000 per Oz again, and pt going great too, but a long way to go. Gold is obviously a bullion metal, bought when equities look vulnerable as a safe haven. PGMs are mostly industrial metals, though there is some bullion buying. The benefit of platinum over gold is the high melting temperature which in the past prevented pt processing until the technical ability was developed. Pt is also much harder than gold, so pt coins are a real option, except that we are heading to a cashless society In the UK only gold isn't taxed, so currently only gold is a viable bullion metal, but in these uncertain and undemocratic times of huge government debt I wouldn't be surprised if the government taxed gold too. | excellance
08/4/2019 12:58 | The new tax year just means that private investors get another tax free vehicle via an ISA to invest £20,000 over the year. I doubt many ISAs will hold only Eurasia shares, and many won't have the full £20,000 in. My guess is that many people just transfer a monthly amount into an ISA then wait for opportunities as prices rise and fall. I haven't bothered opening my 2019 ISA yet, there's no hurry, and this year I've got a few expensive (for me) follies to pay for, son and daughters flats for example, and I hope to upgrade my car too...and the meagre amount of cash left over is being spent on day to day follies...it seems I'm buying all the jack Daniels and Russian standard vodka for all my kids friends when they meet here before going out on the town! | excellance

07/4/2019 22:23 | Guessing is all we can really do on Aim It's in the lap of the MM gods! There is no way that i would sell either this year or next when the party is just beginning and i am not just talking about EUA. The whole commodity sector is going to handsomely reward the believers especially the gold bugs who have been obliterated over the past few years. The awakening is about to begin. Just need this bloody Brexit bs to end so the dollar can start its multi year decline. Not long now ;-) | big fish
