16/9/2013 07:15 | Dr BiotechThanks for the feedback I assumed the special divi would also be higher in a full H1 and would be paid again for H2. Will have to wait to see. | t999mrb
15/9/2013 17:31 | t99 Not sure your calculation is valid. The interim was dividend was 1.8p plus 0.7p special. That would make the 6 months 3.6p and full year 7.2p total div 10.8p (plus any special). I don't have a position - if it drops further I may be interested but I feel the IPO was based on some optimistic assumptions. An interim dividend of 2.5 pence per share (2012: nil) has been declared and approved by the Board. The dividend comprises a 1.8 pence base dividend and a further special dividend of 0.7 pence. The interim dividend represents a pro-rata amount equal to half of the interim dividend which would have been paid if the company had been listed for the full six months of the interim period. | dr biotech
15/9/2013 11:40 | Keep calm and lets see 140p A company that disappoints so early deservs no mercy | dewtrader
15/9/2013 11:24 | Esure's head of communications Adrian Webb said: "The dividend reaction mystifies us because we've had a 70% pay-out rate that's been declared. "The dividend is a low dividend in terms of 2.5 pence because we've only been listed for three months. Also, the way our dividend policy is set out- and was at the time of the float - is that we pay one third of the dividend at half year and two thirds at the full year, which reflects the way that earnings tend to be in insurance anyway because of the weather." | t999mrb
15/9/2013 11:03 | 2.5p for the first 1/3rd of the total dividend (but only 3 months trading) which equates to 5p for a full 6 months, plus final dividend in a full year of 10p (the other 2/3rd's) .Total dividend in a full year 15p, divided by share price of 230p equals 6.5%. Same as peers in this sector. | t999mrb
14/9/2013 11:13 | The problem is that all the other listed car insurers are paying substantially higher divis and at the same time they are all saying that rates are under pressure. I will have a look at this but only when it is back at circa 175p | salpara111
13/9/2013 18:01 | why the bottom of the pile this evening ? no news - buy trades exceed sales ??????? perhaps something we don't know but should ? | jarbie
10/9/2013 08:42 | Now it's up-to-date!When it becomes more obvious that eSure will deliver a full year annual dividend of 4-5% from 2014 this share price will recover to 275+ | t999mrb
10/9/2013 08:38 | why 227 when last trades 232 | t999mrb

05/9/2013 14:18 | An interim dividend of 2.5 pence per share (2012: nil) has been declared and approved by the Board. The dividend comprises a 1.8 pence base dividend and a further special dividend of 0.7 pence. You're welcome! | bikeaholic

04/9/2013 22:27 | I'm out - thank goodness I got scaled back at the ipo. Doesn't show any signs of recovery so looks like they overcooked the float price - better shares to focus my attention on. Good luck to those that stick with it. | davr0s
04/9/2013 10:39 | The date I quoted was from the results. They later released a correction saying The interim dividend will be paid on 18 October 2013 to all holders of Ordinary Shares on the Register of Members at close of business on 6 September 2013. | dr biotech
