Good Luck markth126 but as I had posted, I sold off mainly because I did not like the unprofessional way the presentation was held and the forecast CC provided. However, I do think the figures were a lot worse in H2 than I expected, and if I had thought that would be the case I would have sold off much sooner. In fact I had sold, then got back in and bought far more than I should.

Maybe Bensons Beds will buy EVE now and you`ll be the big winner.

Thanks CT,my timing here could have been better, didnt expect the size of this sell off on what I thought was a decent enough TU and the 2nd half was pretty much as expected. Appreciate they are burning cash this year but they seem to have plenty and another year along CC's strategic path they should be pretty good shape to push on. I'm in the fortunate position to not worry about the daily swings and feel this will steadily climb once it settles. A few director buys would not go a miss and there were some sizeable trades today that could well be RNS'd tomorrow. Dont plan to trade this as not my style but long term hold for sure. Been a dire day all round today.

Good luck markth126 - at least it seems to have found a support level for now.
Bear in mind though, they themselves are forecasting a loss of £1.6m for 2022, that is over £133k a month, and we do not know the level of stock still to be paid for, as they had increased the stock holdings.

Still if you got back in early this morning you maybe able to trade those for a quick profit to reduce your average. :-)

Priced just above cash in the bank, I still like the investment rationale here and have added further today. Not one for the quick gainers, steady 2-3 year hold for me. Let them keep turning the ship or a buy out whichever first, just as long as buy out isn't too low

At what low point will a few holders, that did not get out on Wednesday, risk averaging down?

Atticus now pumping for a bounce so he can dump his position, having called it wrong.

MM just playing Yo-yo - thing is are little traders playing this for a few pounds?

One can just see how dishonest most posters are when you have spent time following threads.

Agree with you.. and Cheryl came across really well for me. She knows the business inside and out. As you allude to.. it shows just how quickly this can love. Albeit in the wrong direction yesterday. But as the dust settles and the idiocy wanes I think people are waking up to the fact it was a good update!

Problem is GP7 as CC eluded to yesterday. Shareholder mix of retail investors (gamblers) and a lack of real investors as well as institutions. This is and always has been in my view a long term hold but took the opportunity today and yesterday to increase my holding. I don't share the view of a lot of short term traders on this thread who are becoming very apparent (just that). Investing is a long term game, make your decisions based on research and trust them. The rest is just noise. My target of low to mid teens still stands and will just take time. I back CC and her team. Good luck all in whatever you "bet" on next...

I don't get your negativity clock tower. The company is on track. Uk and Ireland profitable this year but they are pushing into France. This is a long term growth play. Not quick profits. Very conservatively building a sustainable business here. Yesterdays Sp reaction was ridiculous to a decent update! The market makers opened it blue! Really not sure what all the negative fuss is about.

I just took a look at the number of small buys from bottom fishers, and was wondering at what level we will see the bigger sellers unloading that held on yesterday.

Good Luck if your trading this upwards.

But you have forgotten about all the millions and millions of of options at 0.1p the Directors have awarded themselves for their amazing performance. All in it together huh. Its seems that shareholders are more in it than the Directors.

'no skin in the game'

MD & FD have £30k & £20k invested in Eve shares.

Pathetic % of the salaries they get !!

Yes T101 and I put my hands up and said I got it wrong. I should have taken my profits yesterday but congratulations you were correct.

As I said I only sold when I heard the presentation but it was so unprofessional that I dumped all my holding and I have no regrets.

I think you missed a "not" in your second para.

Hot climates
Foam mattresses are useless in hot climates in my opinion. They dont let your body breathe. Whereas a mattress with springs is empty inside so air can move.

Anyway, everyone & their friend sells mattresses. Ikea. Big supermarkets.
Unless you have a patented mattress design it is a bad sector to try to enter.
Would it be a good risk/reward to try to enter , with new money from scratch, the sector of making factory bread, T bags, factory frozen croissants ?
Of course not, unless you have some special advantage over the others (& that they can't copy), 95%-100% sure that you would lose.

(In <2 years I think this co. will not exist anymore, or be 0.1p or something tiny.)

That's harsh Smithie6 but many would question your views on which mattresses are better. You also have hygiene issues in some circumstances and some hot climate advantages as well.

If I was looking to buy low I would agree with you but as I have no intention of buying this again, following that presentation that really did them or the company any favours.

It seems that the Chairman's buying a few months ago was nothing more than trying to keep the share price up. Note, when someone asked a question about the directors buying stock, they laughed - which also put the nail in the coffin imo.

Forecasting a loss of £1.6m - when it could be a lot more than that if the economy slows this year.

Still they have a few buyers creeping in, so good luck to them, or they might be covering what they sold short.

Well no bounce and I suspect if there is a small one, there will be a lot of holders ready to sell into it.

One thing I will say is that she can talk the talk but was not very professional holding a mug and drinking while presenting.

She also spoke about the share price movement since she started from around 1p - up as high as 7p - well it looks as though it may well go lower than when she started (if she is still there) by the end of 2023 or before if sales slow.

The clever thing to do would have to cut costs in H2 and make profit - result higher share price - then raise cash for growth, lacks foresight imo.

She has missed the opportunity I believe.
