I don't think this has been posted here, it's a podcast from a few weeks ago featuring Ian Taylor.

Thanks Carcosa. I was wondering if it has anything to do with the acquisition of Oonex.

Very normal.

Broadening the investor base: Having joint brokers can help a company reach a larger pool of potential investors, as each broker may have their own set of clients and connections.

Increased market coverage: Having multiple brokers can increase a company's exposure to the market as a whole, as each broker may have their own research coverage, marketing efforts, and distribution channels.

Diversification of risk: By working with multiple brokers, a company can spread out its risk and reduce its reliance on any one broker or group of investors.

Access to specialised expertise: Different brokers may have different areas of expertise or knowledge of certain sectors, geographies, or investor types. By working with multiple brokers, a company can tap into a wider range of knowledge and experience.

Competitive pricing: By having multiple brokers compete for the company's business, a company may be able to negotiate better pricing and terms for services such as underwriting, research, and distribution.

Overall, having joint brokers can provide a company with a broader network of potential investors, increased market exposure, reduced risk, access to specialised expertise, and potentially more competitive pricing.

Is it common for companies to appoint joint brokers? Is there a particular reason they would do this?

Equals Group plc (AIM:EQLS), the fast-growing payments group focused on the SME marketplace, announces the appointment of Peel Hunt LLP as Joint Broker to the Group with immediate effect.

Any more new lies from the troll Brummy_git ?

(Complete lies earlier about me & lse:ELCO. I guess he lost some money by buying in close to 140p in 2021 & it is only 80p now, ouch, & phps he has not got over it. He posted today blaming the price fall on me ! Wharghhh !!
Idiot/liar etc.
(If only my pen was that powerful).

-----
some people are rampers.
while Brummy_git is employed as a professional promoter/ramper of shares !
It is his job, he gets paid to do it., by his employer, which gets paid by the companies using them, such as EQLS.

Please ignore trolls!

EQLS has developed an impressive platform. AFX/AGFX do not need a sophisticated platform.
EQLS could challenge the other two. Did it once, but not again.

Any views?

It's normal to capitalise certain software costs, infact they have to otherwise they would breach Accounting standards. If you want to use cash flow as a measure of success they are throwing off a million per month so happy to use that as a measure.

Sorry, but posting that I think you are a "clueless grinner" is not illegal.

'I have trolled you for years'

rubbish.
I have occasionally posted that I think you are clueless or similar.
I get ppl criticising my posts.
That's life.

"...ELCO.....They both ended up to be dead wrong (same person I guess?). Plus all their negative commentary did was lose money for a lot of honest 'long only' investors, after they sold because of the spurious claims."

I have posted on the ELCO board for years.
I first bt at below 30p. (it went up to 140p)
I criticised the chairlady & one of the dirs. Some others on the msg brd agreed with me. That dir. left (or was nudged !) not much later. The share price fell over time from 140p to currently ~80p.
The mkt says I was 100% right.
imo the chairlady & that director pushed the shares to the mkt, doing so created a false price imo. The bubble deflated.
You might not like it since you hold the shares, that is life.

Man up & admit you were wrong rather than try to claim that I mounted a conspiracy against ELCO shares. Any criticism should be of yourself for blindly following the ramping by the chairlady & that director.
idiot.

-----

I warned that the Globo accounts were dodgy because they were not getting paid for the claimed sales. On the msg brd I just got slagged off as an idiot, & the share price doubled. It was later revealed as a fraud.

----
Here I have only criticised, imo, the presentation of the numbers. valid comment imo.
So many numbers for EBIT, EBITDA, adjusted this, adjusted that, eps vale A, eps value B, A diluted, B diluted. Makes my head spin.
Discussion board, people can post their opinion.
Adults can cope with that.

BTW - Dexter Burt used to call himself Michael Burry on advfn, after the famed short-seller.

This was because (like Smithie6 - same person maybe?) he was a narcissist. Hence I blocked them both years ago
