Twitter. (1) Site visit to Southport RDF project by local MP. (2) EQT brought to the attention of MP's in the House of Commons.

Delighted to show Damien Moore MP our project site in Southport UK recently. We explained how it will reduce waste & generate clean energy locally.

Also: Great to see #cleantech innovation raised @ Business Qs in House of Commons too five days ago ........ watch at 10:56)

Transcript:
Damien Moore, Conservative MP for Southport:

"I am sure that my right hon. Friend would agree with me that we need a range of options to ensure that energy prices in the UK remain affordable. To that end, I recently met Eqtec, a company operating in my constituency in partnership with Southport Hybrid Energy Park, that will turn waste into power without the emission of toxic fumes and that aims to provide enough clean energy for 20% of the homes in Southport. Does he agree that a debate to discuss clean energy innovation companies such as Eqtec would be worthy of this House and worthy of the time of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy?""

Jacob Rees-Mogg,
Conservative MP for North East Somerset
Lord President of the Council and Leader of the House of Commons:

"I am grateful to my hon. Friend for bringing this to the attention of the House. Companies such as Eqtec are exactly what we need to keep us on course for net zero by 2050 while maintaining a healthy, varied and affordable energy supply. Embracing a wide variety of energy sources is vital for keeping the lights on and our houses warm. As the recent difficulties have shown, we need to embrace a widespread energy supply, from nuclear power to power provided by companies such as the one that my hon. Friend mentions, and, of course, natural gas as a transition fuel on the journey to net zero in 2050.

Her Majesty’s Government are committed to decarbonising our electricity system by 2035, backed by investment in renewables, such as tidal stream energy and nuclear. I am sure that, above all, our voters care for cheap, plentiful energy in their homes, and we want to ensure that that is compatible with net zero. As for the debate, it is either one for Westminster Hall, or, perhaps, under your generous auspices, Mr Speaker, for an Adjournment debate."

Ouch - this may be sector wide, but once again EQT is falls the furthest and will take the longest to recover, to a lower overall level.

Mark. A really pathetic reply which is exactly why you p*ss everyone off here.

We'll find out soon enough about the Billingham contract and if your negativity comes to pass despite the contract provisions.

With your attitude, hard to understand why you are invested here or waste your time with this BB .....

If I knew how to post a camp guy swinging a handbag! Actually this isn't my style to niggle usually, but it is difficult not to challenge motive and balance, persistent positive messages, going out of your way to find good news even if the pictures are fake, while the share price is down hard from the last issue and we are as likely as not set for another one. Take a step back perhaps. £10K up trading EQT shares would be a room of your own. Being paid hah!

Missed that the Wood news dragged you back in 2 risky, it was your "medium term hold" which puzzled me. Yes, I think it is a good idea to keep your hand in here but not your shirt, it could all still work out well, and a case for adding some we could get 1p if bad news before the good. But the way things are going promise v. progress the timeframe feels like years not months.

Do keep up Mark,

Sold out last Sept as declared, and bought back a starter position on Wood news, again as declared.

Just enough to give me a headstart if it all goes to plan,no lasting damage if it goes belly up.

That's the way to play it,yes?

Marktime. Best advice to you is to look after your own investments and not worry about what others are doing. Yes, I'm getting £10k for posting here. Aren't you? I thought everyone got paid ..... Silly questions deserve .....

You keep harping on about the Billingham deadline at the end of next month. The RNS announcing the deal 11 months ago was quite clear about the provisions and qualifications. Deferment is possible within the provisions. Suggest you reread that RNS.

Agree Kibo is a terrible company to have partnered with. Hopefully they drop out and are replaced by a company with some credibility and funds.

"We" ? Are you revealing you are on the payroll or just that you have developed a dangerously close attachment to an investment?

Thought you sold out last September have you backed in 2 risky? There is something attractive about the share price in the 1-1.1p range, but I worry they have a ten million or so issue coming at a further discount. Holding off before I add.

Wonder how close EQT got to its promise of E15M profitable revenues during 2021, something Palumbo was confident of for most of the year but started to hint of delays in the final quarter. Do we have to wait for the annual accounts in April or do we get a post year-end heads up?

The Billingham site purchase deadline approaching rapidly. Had a quick look at Kibo, who have a majority stake in the project after all, no signs of new funds and who are struggling to pay their own directors. Might have to write off the hundreds of thousands already spent on what was once described as EQTs anchor development.

Medium term hold here, confirmed by the above post.

come back in 12 months when earnimgs start to kick in,thats the only thing that will move it.

Currently a near 100mill market cap on thin air, when the earnings do kick in all being well, watch out for a cheap opportunistic takeout.

Holding a starter position at the moment, happy to pay 3 times the price if it goes where i hope it goes.

We have five gasification projects under construction:

+ Market Development Centre in Tuscany, Italy
+ North Fork, California, USA
+ Market Development Centre in Belišće, Croatia
+ Karlovač, Croatia
+ Agrigas 1, Larissa, Greece

The first 2 should be operational approx end June.
The other 3 by year end.

With the Movialsa, Spain plant that will be 6 in total with approx 9-12 more currently in development in 2023/24.

EQT/MetalNRG links, partly from yesterday's MNRG Broker Note.
MNRG Share price 0.335p
52 week high/low 1.225p/0.24p

EQT has the possibility to benefit from the sale or part disposal of its 14.1% stake in MNRG, exercise of the 50 million warrants as well as from the project finance MNRG can bring to the pipeline of EQT shovel ready projects.

EQT expects to exercise the right to appoint a director to the MetalNRG Board in the first half of 2022.

In the move into green energy, MetalNRG has come under the wing of EQTEC. It has developed a strong international network which provides access to a healthy pipeline of good projects. The Italian project is the company’s first entry into this industry and comes with negligible risk as MetalNRG’s capital is protected.

The management is seeking to develop a strong partnership with EQTEC which has been cemented with a £290,000 share swap and the first joint venture project in Italy. MetalNRG Eco joined a consortium led by EQTEC to repower, own and operate the biomass-to-energy plant in Castiglione d'Orcia, Tuscany. When it becomes operational, the plant will turn straw and forestry wood waste from local farms and forests into green electricity and heat for use locally. This initial project is based on a plant which was previously in production, but the parent company went bust. However, there are still some 7-8 years of decent tariffs from the national grid to benefit from.

MetalNRG will hold 26.66% equity in the SPV for an investment of €700,000. The plant is forecast to annually generate €2 million in revenue and €750,000 in EBITDA, which equates to €200,000 per annum to MNRG. It is expected to generate an unlevered IRR of 20%.

With EQTEC’s support, MetalNRG Eco will be looking at waste to energy projects with capex typically in the £1.5 million - £15 million range which can be financed via equity and debt.

EQTEC has a number of shovel ready projects in Croatia, Italy and Europe. MNRG will be involved in further such projects and say if the company invests €1 million apiece in two additional projects, this could generate €600,000 – €700,000 of EBITDA per annum for MNRG.

Accelerating the speed of the move into green energy infrastructure will require the investment of increasing sums but comes with a compelling long-term stream of high-quality earnings.

MetalNRG has a clear growth strategy focused on green energy and metals. In the current year, it looks as though interests in BritNRG and Lake Victoria Gold could be disposed of which will allow funds to be recycled to finance the development of other opportunities. This could free up more capital to finance green energy projects numbers 2, 3 and 4.

MetalNRG has three aces to play – gold, uranium and green energy. We also note that c.£4 million could come into the kitty from warrants being exercised. That requires a share price clearly north of 1p, which we do not think is that elusive given the planned developments, sound fundamentals and the current outright derisory market cap.

18 Jan 2022. New vid from yesterday. Discussion on MetalNRG connections with EQT for the first 10 mins with new details of the Tuscany plant he expects to be operational some time in Q2, about mid year. It seems all is going well there. He says that they will benefit from the original premium tariff for electricity supply but in addition they have renegotiated the wood chip supply from the farms and all around the local area so it is an even better deal for the business.

Also they are looking carefully at another 4 shovel ready plants that EQT is set to restore to production. About 2 or 3 they are expecting to invest in over the next 12 to 15 months.

Rolf Gerritsen, CEO at MetalNRG gives an operational update and sees an exciting year ahead.
