31/10/2021 12:58 | Greek Projects taking off. Info on the projects in Greece. We have projects in Drama, Almyros, Larissa and Livadia. Almyros is in development, Larissa is in construction, the others are agreements to purchase. From the Trading Update RNS in March, "Over a dozen new opportunities in Greece are identified for 2021 - 23 with a handful of those targeted for 2021". So with 4 projects in Greece already we could see this number increase significantly next year and 2023. | stevea171
29/10/2021 12:15 | Yes a fresh eg the website looked like a school project Israeli me-too AD and mixed waste handling start up claiming all sorts of expertise but when you look closer with not much operational experience. | marktime1231
29/10/2021 12:12 | If I remember right there was an Israeli company previously mentioned who also do mechanical separation for waste streams. | davidblack
29/10/2021 12:07 | Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Anaergia are in the AD business, separating organics, plastics and other gunge from the mixed municipal waste stream in order to process the organic component through its digester. In other situations the stripped plastic and other gunge would go to incinerator or landfill. Now in conjunction with EQT at Deeside they propose to put the gasifiable component, eg the plastics and maybe ??, through EQTs gasifier. How that waste stream is to be prepared and fed through the gasifier remains to be seen, good that someone with expertise and finance is now working on it. The AD produces an organic residue which may have some calorific potential, otherwise it needs high temp incineration or find a use as soil improver. EQTs gasifier produces biochar residue needing similar handling. We are closer to but still a long way from solving all the problems. | marktime1231
29/10/2021 10:45 | Southport RDF project. Local Authority Planning submissions details (likely to be in the coming weeks): From Q2 Trading Update, "The Southport, Merseyside project is similar to the Deeside project with permission for a pre-existing Phase 1 anaerobic digestion facility and the intended Phase 2 addition of an advanced gasification facility. The Company will submit a revised planning application for Phase 1 in early August 2021, in advance of the intended Phase 2 planning submission that will be submitted later in the year. A pre-planning consultation has been carried out with the local authority whereby Phase 1 and Phase 2 master plans were welcomed by the local authority and given their support. The development project is being pursued by the Company with development partner Rotunda Group Limited ("Rotunda")." Update from RNS, 27/09/2021, “The Company will provide updates as to revised Phase 1 and the intended Phase 2 planning submission in due course." | stevea171

29/10/2021 08:58 | Gspanner. Agree. It raises the question of what is being planned in this regard in the case of the much larger plant at Billingham? Southport also although this is a way behind in the Municipal planning process. | stevea171
29/10/2021 08:45 | To my mind this link de-risks a major component of the larger projects that has concerned me (and as far as I can see hardly anyone else). It was unclear how the feedstock would be prepared for the larger gasifiers in an efficient/automated manner which was not one of EQTs areas of expertise… And now we know a professional and established company with other successful plants running in the U.K. will organise it and finance until financial closure. Brilliant. Clearly this is the first but I can see similar arrangements will work elsewhere… | gspanner
29/10/2021 08:43 | Martin Hopkins, MD of Anaergia UK, commented: "We look forward to the opportunity to combine Anaergia's organics industry-leading recovery and processing technologies with EQTEC's advanced gasification expertise at the Deeside facility." Extract from Anaergia's RNS to the TSX yesterday: This morning, EQTEC plc (EQTEC) announced that it secured a resolution from the Flintshire County (Wales, UK) Council's Planning Committee to grant planning consent for an advanced gasification facility deploying EQTEC technology at its Deeside Refuse Derived Fuel project. This announcement also says that EQTEQ entered into a co-operation agreement with Anaergia to develop a proposal for the delivery of the multi-technology waste-to-energy project at Deeside. This project would include combining a 182,000 tonne waste reception and processing plant along with anaerobic digestion and EQTEC Advanced Gasification Technology. About Anaergia Anaergia was created to eliminate a major source of greenhouse gases (“GHGs”) by cost effectively turning organic waste into renewable natural gas (“RNG”), fertilizer and water, using proprietary technologies. With a proven track record from delivering world-leading projects on four continents, Anaergia is uniquely positioned to provide end-to-end solutions for extracting organics from waste, implementing high efficiency anaerobic digestion, upgrading biogas, producing fertilizer and cleaning water. Our customers are in the municipal solid waste, municipal wastewater, agriculture, and food processing industries. In each of these markets Anaergia has built many successful plants including some of the largest in the world. Anaergia owns and operates some of the plants it builds, and it also operates plants that are owned by its customers. | stevea171

28/10/2021 16:57 | New Proactive interview today with DP. DP says the team of CTO, COO and himself were just yesterday at Billingham visiting site neighbours to discuss offtake requirements where there is great interest, particularly with the gas/electricity/heat He also says it's a very important new partnership with Anaergia where they both have projects and relationships which could be usefully shared with future collaboration between the 2 companies on both Anaergia projects and Eqtec projects. 28/10/2021 13:09 | That's a great link thank you - also interesting that the Dagenham plant is their 'index' plant - now who else has a similar modus operandi? | gspanner
28/10/2021 12:12 | Anaergia have successfully completed projects in the UK - this was quite a high profile project at Dagenham that was commissioned in 2014, two years after the then Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, signed the deal. | stevea171
28/10/2021 11:10 | Interesting to read the cost and risk of developing the feedstock preparation at Deeside has been firmly placed on Anaergia, but it remains with EQT to specify the material which it wants to receive, and EQT still needs to engineer how to handle it through the gasifier as a continuous automated process. Could the separated waste and AD residue feedstock spec be as tight as homegenous biomass? Who is supplying the waste ... assuming it is municipal, but contracted? More good progress well done EQT, a statement of positive intentions from Toyota about taking the CHP would be great. | marktime1231
28/10/2021 10:30 | (EQT Twitter) V pleased to update on our Deeside RDF-to-energy project, with the council granting resolution for planning consent & a Collaboration Agreement @AnaergiaInc inc engineering design for the waste processing facility & anaerobic digestion plant. I guess this is an early design submitted to the Council for Planning approval. Probably it will be revised as the project moves forward and Anaergia becomes involved with detailed design of its part of the project. What I don't see here is where dozens of refuse trucks per hour are supposed to be queueing and unloading the refuse for sorting and processing??!! PS. Is the area in the top left where they queue before entering the building, unloading and drive back out?? The 9.9 MW generation capacity is the maximum permitted by Welsh Councils under very recently revised permits for this type of RDF plant to minimise local traffic congestion so EQT had to downsize its original proposal. | stevea171

28/10/2021 08:51 | Yes, Anaergia's IPO on the TSX was very recently in June 2021 which raised C$175 million. Market cap C$1.16 billion. 3 minute video of one of their installations: Toronto: California: | stevea171
28/10/2021 08:10 | What is also beneficial is that Anaergia are willing to defer fees till financial close. | aja2
28/10/2021 08:07 | RNS: confirmation of planning consent for Deeside. Plus collaboration with Anaergia to enhance processing of waste. Small but important steps. But a big and lengthy project this one. | m4rtinu
28/10/2021 07:57 | Aneargia have raised $175 (canadian I assume) from a recent IPO so have some money to invest. From last results: Second Quarter financial highlights: Revenues increased by $9.8 million to $32.1 million for the three-month period ended June 30, 2021, compared to $22.4 million for the same period the prior year. The increase was driven by activity in both the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) and North American markets. Specifically, government regulation and incentives in Italy and in California have driven the development of new facilities in an effort to divert organic waste from landfills and produce renewable natural gas. Net Income was $2.2 million for the three-month period ended June 30, 2021, compared to a net loss of $17.9 million for the same period in the prior year. The significant variance was mainly driven by large, non-cash adjustments based upon valuations of stock warrants and an embedded derivative as well as foreign currency exchange losses in the earlier period. | gspanner |
