A big hike needed to get to their target price, and yet they are neutral.

Nah, Bill has just set up live dealer casinos with Playtech & extending collab massively going forward with them with the main MGM brand. Entain had their chance, Bill said more than one way to skin a cat and he meant it. Playtech now more likely for a bid than entain who should have taken the money and built on RoW expansion No bid here, ever

I see a massive turn around in the share price. The fall has been severe. If the ship is " now settled "and turning "this will fly" Any one considering bidding will be well advised to act sooner rather than later, before the price rapidly rises. If Entain decide to offload some of their assets that would bolster the balance sheet and simplify things and even bring about a special dividend possibly. It really does look exciting going forward. A bright spot in today's sombre market mood.

Yep if the analysts were any good they would be full time traders..!They seem to get most things wrong ,im in Evoke & Entain for one reason,takeover ..!All with the money i made on William Hill takeover...Flutter far too big to ever be bought out!I am fairly confident both will be bought out eventually IMO.Just have to be patient & not panic...

Ent should be 1200p minimum, as I have been saying have just been buying little by little. We will have our day once the new CEO gets involved and Hornbuckle be friends him. Nb i'm not really that interested in analysts best guesses. More important is we are back on track with a growth trajectory. The next analysts guesses will be higher.

My guess is 610p will be reached first and with greatest probability (we were 650p only 2 weeks ago), then 958p before reaching 1200p

Deutsche Bank Research cuts Entain price target to 958 (1089) pence - 'buy'

And II morning report:

However, leading the FTSE 100 index early Friday was gambling operator Entain, shares up 3.6%.

Entain on Thursday said its pretax loss narrowed dramatically to GBP27.6 million in the first half of 2024 from GBP448.1 million a year prior, as one-off costs fell away and revenue rose by 6.0%. The company also raised its annual guidance.

Entain has announced the introduction of a new betting platform in New Zealand called Betcha.

This new platform is aimed at younger demographics in the region and has been launched as a direct response to the increasing threat of offshore betting operators.

Betcha will be run by Tab and Entain, though Betcha will be different from Tab as it won’t provide bettors with tote betting on racing, only fixed odds, while each will be run as two separate platforms, with current Tab customers needing to register a new account in order to use the Betcha platform.
