14/5/2015 13:59 | 12/6/2015 is not a Tuesday. But this share is a little hidden gem I think. | meijiman
14/5/2015 13:25 | Is the chart about to turn here I wonder ? Next news due Tuesday 12/06/2015 (according to TD) Tuesday 09 Dec 2014 07:47 "Ensor Holdings has announced that for the six months to September 30 2014 operating profit was up 98%. Revenue rose by 11%. The dividend is being increased by 20%. It said that all companies in the Ensor Group have performed very well and, with growing order books" | cheshire man
08/3/2015 13:09 | Bit of coverage (from Feb) of Technocover's security kiosk/total service offering. | rp19
08/1/2015 00:30 | A very good way to explain the move Gengulphus and of course nobody worries when someone buys just 20k of stock and the market cap moves up by £2m which to be fair probably happened in the same way just before new year ! As a long term investor you just take the rough with the smooth to benefit in the grand scheme of things and settle for the dividend as a lovely softener and sensible return on investment in the shorter term. I recently provided my top ten holdings update over on TMF in the PP and as ever Ensor was there and in a very high position too. I was trying to show that long term holdings do not have to be exciting companies in exciting sectors to get very good long and indeed often short term returns. Well run companies in good sectors, with good asset backing and often paying dividends will more often than not beat the overall market especially on Aim ! Ensor is exactly that. | davidosh
07/1/2015 23:53 | It's nothing to do with Ensor as such - the same effect happens for many other illiquid smallcaps... I.e. it's just an aspect of how the the market works! A crude-but-I-think-no Gengulphus | gengulphus
07/1/2015 16:40 | Another ridiculous day at ESR. A couple of Million off the mcap on trades amounting to less than 20k, you couldnt make it up. | fozzie
07/1/2015 16:14 | lc FWIW, I understand all is fine at Ensor Towers. Possibly just somebody taking advantage of the recent share price increase. P.S. Oh dear. "Ensor Towers" is the sort of thing one writes after going to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last week :-) | shanklin
07/1/2015 15:59 | Sure is a spiky one | loafingchard
07/1/2015 14:41 | SP drop seems a bit harsh. On a historic P/E of circa 12 and a forward P/E which is probably less than 9. All IMHO. | shanklin
30/12/2014 13:57 | Ensor are discussed in the first of these two Christmas audiocasts... | davidosh
30/12/2014 13:13 | Morning Cheshire Man, looks great for you here unfortunately i didn't time my re-entry point well enough so don't hold ATM. | battlebus2
30/12/2014 09:34 | Do you still hold bb? looks like we are on the move ! | cheshire man
09/12/2014 19:41 | Thanks for the info. I agree Woody it's a lot harder to find those winners than it has been. Still some with potential but not with the same degree of returns. | battlebus2
09/12/2014 09:29 | bb2 nothing much appearing clearly in the cb lots of hazzy stuff. I've had a few nibbles of stuff a while ago ANCR, AUG, XPP, ALNT, PLUS, SPRP but still largely in cash. To be honest i've not paid too much attention to the markets at all since march/april. ESR and ANP are my two largest holdings but i even reduced my ANP holding in March and haven't topped up since. I've quite a few LRE too for the divi's There's been a few things i was interested in but missed the boat GNS, VCT and a few others. Traded a bit OPAY, CBG but nothing serious. Spent more time developing my TA knowledge and working on a trading strategy in the last few months, even the crystal ball gets cloudy now and again. Easy money last two years but volatitlity and lack of trending stocks making it more difficult now. Watching miners and oil service co's for the bottom. Woody | woodcutter
09/12/2014 08:48 | Most of this was hinted at or implied in the last update so I'm a bit surprised that the share price didn't react much and in fact went down from my purchase price. now nicely up -good to get one right for a change. | meijiman
09/12/2014 08:01 | Also pleased with results this morning,,,,,,,,,:-) | cheshire man
09/12/2014 07:59 | Another one i'm sorry i sold, will try to get a decent price this morning but suspect a decent mark up. Anything else in your crystal ball :)) | battlebus2
09/12/2014 07:55 | yep great results imv and looking good going forward too, xd does look odd. bb2................c if they look to do 7p eps this year with historic per of between 11 and 15 over the last few years i'd expect to see some forward movement on the share price Volatile market though at present so who knows. Woody | woodcutter
09/12/2014 07:33 | Looks very good. FWIW, for anyone from ESR reading this board, the ex-div date you have given is incorrect IMHO. | shanklin
09/12/2014 07:21 | Results out, showing an improving picture. | battlebus2
05/11/2014 16:41 | Thanks for the clarification Martin, appreciated. Although some forecasts would be nice, I can certainly see the merits of quietly concentrating on the day job and letting the results do the talking. I've emailed the FD a couple of times and have always received a timely reply - which is a plus point to me and not always the case with other companies. | rp19
05/11/2014 13:36 | RP19, Coincidentally I spoke with the ESR Chairman a few weeks ago and, in passing, mentioned Derby Mello and asked whether ESR had been invited. AIUI, ESR are disinclined to do anything like this to raise their profile, hence the permanent absence of broker forecasts, and never had any intention of attending. HTH. Martin | shanklin
05/11/2014 12:55 | Davidosh - I thought Ensor were going to exhibit at your Mello 2014 event (sure I saw it on the Mello website a few weeks ago). Their name no longer appears to be on the Mello website as exhibiting. Did they call it off? | rp19
17/10/2014 15:08 | fizzie:_ That is the problem with ESR - No depth very wide spread and directors and family have very large %age of the company. You need 3 years dividend just to cover the current spread. No real comfort in ntav According to Refs only 22.4p per share. OK those ho got in at 12p ack in 2010 have done very well but most unlikely (imo0 to repeat going foward. If rerated - as I have indicated above then more downside than upside (IMHO) | pugugly |
