At the current bond price there's not much growth left to maturity. I'm tempted to switch some of my bonds into equity, as there should be more upside there.. bwtfdik.

Steve73, cash helps. Also refinancing prospects improved? Despite the higher oil price the bonds outperform the shares at 1y, 3y, 5y, 10y; and you get dividends. ENQ more volatile, well no surprise there. So timing seems to be all important for prospective investors. What did surprise me is that the bond price very closely follows poo, much more closely than the shares do.

Conclusion is that the bonds are a punt on the oil price, the shares are for speculation only.

If Covid restrictions only allow 2/3 load factor then this could equate to the same number of planes. Although slightly less fuel as consumption would be lower. Economies seem to be rebounding better than expected = higher oil use. Enquest probably need the current price to hold for quite a while in order to get the debt dropping quickly. The share price could then rise equally fast.

Can we stop looking just at the market cap. What matters is enterprse value i.e. plus debt. The increased cashflow to pay down the debt is what will drive the share price higher. Every $10 on POO = c$180m pa of additional cashflow. c1.7bn shares in issue so should add 10.6p to the share price if maintained for a year, 21p if mainatined for 2 etc.

they been saying oil going higher on here too for five years

i follow inventories closely, but its not the only show in town

dont forget enq has also been diluting shareholders

2017 brent 60$, enq 50p
2021 brent 69$, enq 18p

we actually have a couple of nutjobs on here - master gaslighter and onedb1 who think enq is tied to brent...

only plus here is their execution has been top drawer, enquest that is, not our TA nutjobs, lol
