17/8/2006 11:55 | The FSA has cited failure to meet the requirements of its treating customers fairly initiative as the reason behind a £90,000 fine handed out today. The regulator fined stockbrokers Hoodless Brennan Plc £90,000 for using unacceptable sales practices and failing to treat its customers fairly when selling shares in a company called Knowledge Technology Solutions Plc on 12 June and 25 July 2003. The FSA found the sales practices employed by Hoodless' brokers, when selling KTS shares to customers, fell below both regulatory standards and the firm's own internal standards. The unacceptable sales practices included persuading customers to buy stock when they were not ready to do so and persuading customers to take more stock in a business than they appeared to want. Brokers also used information about a contract between Hoodless and KTS that was not in the public domain as an inappropriate sales aid to persuade customers to buy KTS shares. One broker at the business persuaded his customer to buy 100,000 shares rather than the 50,000 that the customer had requested. Margaret Cole, director of enforcement for the FSA said: "Brokers at Hoodless Brennan used unacceptable selling practices and did not pay enough attention to the interests or the information needs of their customers. "Nor did they take time to communicate with their customers in a way which was clear, fair and not misleading. The FSA will not tolerate this method of selling shares to private customers." The FSA accepts that only a small number of customers were affected by unacceptable sales practices, customers did not suffer financial detriment and no complaints were received. | chapchip
13/8/2006 14:04 | thanks for that. do you know the company website by any chance? i've got 1,500,000 shares i bought at .0032.. i heard rumours that the stock was being touted by boiler room esq operators and was tipped to move violently upwards.. slightly annoyed its fallen off a bit recently.. fingers cossed for the future (near) then. | meatspin
12/8/2006 15:57 | Just call the registrars and ask for the company telephone no and speak to them. I called and got the number and spoke to them. their phone no is ....0161975 0935. The interims are in September and they have a specialist in Ethanol who is trying to find a good Ethanol plant to buy or invest in. According to the pa will be before the results. I chatted to him for over 20 minutes and learnt and a few things how the company is functioning now in respect of expenses/income/oper But, give them a call and you might hear a more updated briefing. I have a small holding of 50k which I bought 3 years back at 7.5p. So if it comes good sometime in the future (hopefully) then all well. The demand for Ethanol will grow as a countermeasure for the oil prices soaring. According to research Ethanol can be mixed with petrol and fuel the car without the car needing major modification. Some of the local authorities in London have cars running using this type of Fuel as well as some long red busses. BP is investing in biofuels and have commited $500 million for development. | christh
12/8/2006 15:22 | Does anyone have any further info on this since the name change? the net seems to be very scarce with info.. i understand the company is basically just cash and is looking to invest in ethanol projects, but do we have a timeframe? | meatspin

05/8/2006 09:04 | I've heard there are kits available for purchase that allow car owners to convert existing gas operated vehicles into flexible-fuel vehicles that can run on E85? Is this true?
