I'm in CEY waiting to sell at an opportune moment but this has been on my radar a while as a gold play with a nice dividend

alm999 keep the faith.The majority of investors it seems want growth stocks and are obsessed with capital gains on sps.US business channels talk about nothing else but the potential of AI and the 'magnificent 7' tech stocks with barely a mention of other stocks.Long may it continue because big tech investment is sucking up all investment flows meaning liquidity for other value shares is low.Good luck to them chasing valuations ever higher in tech stocks but gold miners like this are unappreciated at the moment so keep adding if you think gold prices can go higher....and imho they will.I've been adding at intervals.

These guys must be swimming in cash with the current gold price and production. I'm amazed there aren't 100's on this board. Maybe the 'gold rush' of investors will come after these guys report the next quarter or two. Maybe only then the herd will go into a frenzy

Fair point re FRES, but its all in the mix IMO/DYOR....I have higher risked ones such as HUM as CEY now taken out and I've sold. Just think Gold is heading North....DYOR

The gold silver ratio is tightening, silver is starting to fly, so FRES should have a run at some point.

Silver demand is set to rise too.

Off as in sold out. Don't get me wrong, I am a massive gold bull but this has risen very fast. There's bound to be some consolidation. We are at a major resistance point. The rise in gold will not of gone un-noticed by the African nations. Many of these countries are corrupt, and will be pressure on EDV to share its spoils. Civil war and power battles are common. A profit is not a profit until you take it. Good luck all.

Plenty more miles in this. Once the producers start reporting the sector will fly as they will be making bucket loads of cash. Even the price of oil is soft that will be helping keep costs down.

The Friday sleepy RNS allowed me to take a position at 1688 this morning with my CEY proceeds. Apart from the West Africa Geopolitcal discount this looks a no brainer now fully derisked. i think it will be back in a net cash position next year and the FCF must be very healthy. more buybacks and specials hopefully. ALTN is a tiddler buy well worth a look too IMO

Should be through £20 IMO.....gradually adding as money frees up elsewhere to add to this ....I read somewhere that China halted its gold purchases months ago, just think of the squeeze when they return to buying? Also weak $ will continue to hold gold up IMO/DYOR

With a record gold price, I will be surprised if this doesn't shoot straight up to 1800. The big question is whether they can break north of that. That will confirm the huge reverse head and shoulders pattern and the share price should trot up to 2400.

Cey received an agreed bid today at a 37% premium.


Leaves EDV as the only UK listed gold miner producing more than 500k ounces.


The chances of this rerating much higher has just gone up.

I think during the last bull run in gold there was more choice for investors on the London market like Randgold. We are the new randgold

Should benefit massively from any reallocation into gold. Rick rule was asked a week or two back if he could only hold one gold stock which would it be - angnico eagle for quality and endeavour as an alternative.
