Will the flow tested gas go straight in to the metered system?

Peter Strachan's Stock Analysis update on SGC is supposed to be out today, anyone read it yet?

surely the length of the flow test will determine when we find out the results........the company has stated it is expecting to perforate and start the flow test at the end of October........they have also stated that they expect (subject to a suitable flow being achieved) to hook up the well to start sales ASAP and get income flowing in.

what they haven't said is how long they will flow test for BEFORE they hook it up......whether/when they will advise what the flow rate is........when they will decide to calculate what the likely recoverable content is, etc, etc.

surely, the order of the day for the patient among us is:

1. let them perforate safely and properly
2. hope they flow test at a decent (commercial) rate
3. let them hook it up and start selling the stuff
4. let us know commercially sensitive information as and when required

number 4 actually isn't that important - 1 to 3 are crucial.

if they do 1 to 3 properly, then can tell me 4 any time they like.

twaintwix,

I see your post more than likely contributed to the u turn on the price, not sure where you got that info but the company clearly state end of Oct for flow tests so I will go with them.

If you are correct how do you know, now give me an answer.

............................

Some of you think I am deramping but that is not so. I hold shares in this company and will not sell before the flow results are known so any delay related to certainty of providing a good result is fine by me. I have no information other than a post I read on hotcopper which said the gun was yet to be put in position which led me to thinking there would be a delay, but on further research I found that the perforation gun can be put in place in a day or so and fired immediately so my theory that the test flow would be in December goes straight out the window on that one.
We could have the gun fired any time with an RNS by Friday, or latest Monday.

I would go by the time lines the company give in RNS.
Not someone that posts there time lines on here.
I mean when you get people posting the workers will be sitting around looking at the gun for a month before shooting it.lol

The rig crew seem like a sharp bunch, evidenced by the fact that they popped in and worked over another well in a few days on the way. Pretty bloody impressive but that said, they do need to be EXTREMELY careful with those pressures so, whatever it takes....

I think investors need to just be a little flexible in terms of expectations on timing for the testing to start. SGC have made a point about doing things properly and safely and no doubt there will be the equivalent of our Health & Safety processes in California - maybe even some official sign off's required? Sometimes it's easy to read RNS's too literally and start calculating a timetable without full knowledge of what's going on at the site itself. Then people get dates embedded in their minds and start worrying if no news arrives. The main thing is that when the news arrives it is good!!

Can't see the crew changing shifts, according to twix they're sitting around all day drinking coffee & ticking boxes on checklists..... hard to see them doing that around the clock! ;-#)))

I can free up the time to do so if you all will chip in for the flights and cover accommodation costs. Oh, and I'll need an allowance for food and beverages. I'd probably hang out in local bars and try to bump into crew as they change shift so the bar tab will need covering.
