Blimey, I'm up on a day trade and could cash in and buy a cinnamon bun and a coffee for lunch out of the profits.

Gob smacked.Been out for the last hour and a half and come back to a near 30% rise in the share price Amazed folks paying .4p against a placing price of .25p.Shows what relief and hope can do.Looks like I wont be topping up at .25p now.

"On 14 February, about 205 million people will be eligible to vote in Indonesia, making it one of the world’s biggest election days. More than half of those eligible to vote are aged between 17 and 40, and about one-third are under 30, making the youth demographic key to the outcome. Meet the three presidential candidates – Prabowo Subianto, Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo – vying to become the next leader of the world's third-largest democracy"

perhaps when this is out of the way we may see some progress on Duyung ?

Good and very bad update.Pros? they will live to fight another day - lights on in the office, no immediate 'going concern' type threat. Also some acknowledgement from Management here that they must also align and 'take the pain' with shareholders.Cons, huge confetti, survival type dilution. No chance of any reasonable return anytime soon as the dilution and warrants will cap this long into the future. No firm timeline for GSA - it could easily get pushed back again. What exactly are eme having to spend so much on when there are no ops in Indonesia ? Topaz no firm timeline, no control. The lockins are okay if there is a short spike soon, but rather meaningless as they actually present a waterfall selloff at some point in the future. This placing is really just to buy time in hope of a deal. Its kicking the can down the road. The great issue here is total lack of control, this inability to advance their assets without relying on others.Cash

Oilforec, me too! If it was worth drilling in the first place, now quality oil is proven that must have derisked the project.

Unless once again we don’t know enough and they have evidence it’s it as porous or as large as hoped? Yet we still have it!

Might just be getting this out the way for a follow up RNS later this week.

I never really understood why they didn't have another reentry at Eaglepool over the years. Oil in place, former producing well and might just have generated enough to keep the lights in for the high impact plays. Oh well, it is what it is.

Jemjem, I agree. Without financing we would lose everything so this means we should get through to GSA (if we can rely on the new timeframe). This had to happen. Someone has been selling the price down for this imho and my dummy sells reassured me there was still liquidity here which means the MMs know what was going on.

We might even get the predicted rally hehe!

Directors buying…… these are signs they are positive about the outlook. Silence may have been necessary. Salary sacrifice is about accumulating cheap shares. They don’t have to do it!

Be interested to see where these Finnish today.I hope Jem Jem is right but share usually drift back to at least the placing price. If they do I may consider a top up although I am dissapointed with the RNS and in particular the lack of meaningful update on China.I cant believe the studies havnt been completed and as others have said if it was bad news we should have been told.Trying to stay positive and will watch the share price action today.

jemjem,
“You have to ask - what has TK said that persuades someone to put that amount into the placing and agree to a lock in?”

Asher has all but made a career out of doing placings at TRP and yet the lemmings still buy

In my humble opinion only

I get the feeling we are imminently looking at a quarter pee placement. Imminent always appears sooner when it's bad news.

Hate it when I'm right! Suppose they had to wait for all the "agreed nod wink wink" forward selling which dragged the share price down to yesterday's level to finish. Took them the best part of a month which is utterly corrupt in my opinion.

Reluctantly agree. It was obvious funding was needed to get through next 6 months and share price driven down so easily in light volume. Directors taking 20m shares and having 1/3 of salaries paid in shares is the least they could do to support company for their ineptitude!

Once you get into the billions of shares in issue it’s a slippery path to share price oblivion
Is it all but a 1/3rd more shares in issue today than yesterday for a paltry £700k
18 years of miss management, bad luck, very poor projects has led us to issuing shares at 0.25 of a single penny!
Dire
In my humble opinion

Painful though this might be, I would suggest that as a company, we are in a better place today than yesterday.
Cash raised will ensure we are around to see the benefits of Mako sell down. (Lots of recent posts suggested we were going bust - so that elephant has been kicked into touch).
Close last night was .28p bid. Raise at .25p with a lock in. You have to ask - what has TK said that persuades someone to put that amount into the placing and agree to a lock in?
Very little news on China, except it's ongoing. Doesn't suggest bad news there?

Gaz has stumped up. He is the China contact. If anyone knows the direction of travel of Block 29/11, then he will.
However horrible the last couple of years have been, I'm confident Mako will happen and it'll be worth 2-3p ish (in cash). What happens with China is still up for grabs.

Since we're now solvent again, if ever there was a time to average down (again), now is it. Isn't it? ;-))

Imo.
