I remember in the early days of Gulf Keystone in Iraq, when they were trying to export Kurdish oil against the wishes of Syria and Turkey, that there was a lot of tracking of tankers, and that they frequently turned off their transponders so as not to be traceable.

Yes, but if the client wanted their vessel not to show up, would that be a request that would be followed, i.e. a survey could take lace without any outsider being aware of it.

All other survey vessels [blue dots] are either in port or anchorages.

tbh - I'm waiting on a drill result for CGX Energy; we know there's pay at c.200ft; but need to know the quality.

Give it a couple of months and hopefully, EME will be announcing similar.

It doesn't mean much, but 720 is arriving the SCS from Rio, so that's another COSL survey vessel that could be used and I'll be tracking it.

It would make a novel form of insider trading - buy shares and tell the captain to head north, then sell shares and tell him to head south again!

curry - it was around the well site for 4 hrs, so that's a no from me. They may have done some basic stuff, but nothing more than that. imho
