US Tax Refund received
Empyrean Energy plc, the oil and gas development company with interests in China, Indonesia and the United States, advises that it has received the cash refund from the United States Internal Revenue Service ("IRS") totaling US$905,805 (the "US Tax Refund"). The US Tax Refund, through the application of 31 March 2017 taxable year losses, represents a full refund of tax paid in the US during the 1 April 2016 - 31 March 2017 taxable year.
The proceeds from US Tax Refund will assist the Company's ongoing working capital requirements.
