11/12/2017 17:59 | Into single figures this week no need to buy the primary is tight as expected share price was 3p when Dempsey announced so no reason no to retrace to those levels SGC market cap is a quarter of EME think about it | brimsley
11/12/2017 16:29 | Do we see 15p very soon i think we do anyone agree? | uzzymaz
11/12/2017 16:28 | mad that we are worse off than sgc | currypasty
11/12/2017 15:48 | From the Oilvoice piece:- Empyrean CEO Tom Kelly commented, “It is very early days in the testing of the Dempsey 1-15 well, and whilst the bottom two zones have both flowed clean dry gas with very high down hole pressures, both zones exhibit tight permeability. The pressure and potential extent of gas reservoir are significant and every effort is being made to use industry best practices in order to see if we can stimulate the second deepest zone to achieve a much better flow rate before moving up hole to test the next zones of interest.” | mechanoid
11/12/2017 14:05 | There must have been about 15p plus at its highest for Dempsey now nothing as its the same price before Dempsey drill and the shows, that seems crazy to me they have drilled, cased it and ready to frac within budget, no doubt Alvaras will follow the tulyano drill, ( sorry forgot the name) In addition we will have an update on China and Duyung before year end, crazy price. I am surprised at this price people are not buying more. | stewart4900
11/12/2017 13:55 | BACK IN HERE NOW. Looks a bargain at this price. just a case of sitting back and waiting. | peterpowell21

11/12/2017 13:06 | Pay for a few king prawns on EME Christmas BBQ :-) | showme01
11/12/2017 12:53 | Thanks guys. SGC total income for their producing wells for the last quarter was about £100k so we are possibly in the £20-40k per quarter max bracket - depending on what we actually have a share of. It helps pay a few bills. Imo | jemjem
11/12/2017 12:24 | I think the other wells are producing minimal amounts of Gas but could be possibly reworked - I think they are also part of our share now. | starzerus
11/12/2017 11:37 | Jemjem No-one has ever said anything much about the other wells, and I suspect that they are non-events. | wcj
11/12/2017 11:37 | It is worth reminding nervous investors here that unusually for a junior exploration company we have achieved success in each of the 3 projects that new EME has been involved in this calendar year:The China seismics indicted a bigger potential oil resource than previously indicated and we anticipate further details including possible farm out arrangements later this month. Like most LTH this is the big one with huge potential upside.Duyong in Indonesia is a gas discovery and a potential sell off in the new year possibly to finance our other 2 projects.SGC have announced Dempsey in California as a major gas discovery and potentially much bigger than previously envisaged.I only wish I had some spare cash to invest at these giveaway prices! | maltby2002
11/12/2017 11:29 | It is our view that Dempsey is a large, clean dry natural gas charged structure without any observed water with the potential for significant production below the Rancho Capay field reservoirs. In my view, Dempsey is already a very significant natural gas discovery. There already is and will be increased competition for other prospective areas in the Basin and consequently we must, in the interests of investing shareholders, protect some of the detail that does not have direct monetary impact on shareholders, but which provides us with competitive advantage. The evaluation and learning process for us all is continuous and exponentially material due to the under‐explored nature of the Basin. To summarise: o We already have a significant natural gas resource at Dempsey in the lower interval of interest; o We expect to be soon producing quality gas and seeking to improve flow rates; o The testing of Dempsey has only just begun and my views of its potential are perhaps changed in technical detail, but not diminished otherwise. -------------------- What is there not to like about all this. Great buying opportunity at lower prices. Added more this morning before this announcement. | bishopawn
11/12/2017 11:24 | wcj. Was it ever clarified what the EME involvement is in the existing producing wells that SGC mentioned again in their Q&A this morning? It has had a passing mention from Tom - but not much more. | jemjem
11/12/2017 11:16 | Unless people want to wait around for the coffers to build up sufficiently from Dempsey I don't think a placing would be negative and is likely to be quite small relatively. Most here would like to unlock the China potential sooner rather than later I feel. Add in further US drills, potentially additional acreage and Indonesia and there is plenty of scope to grow this company. The big upside is that two of these projects are no longer bluesky and so would hopefully start to attract decent institutional backers down the line. | oilforex
11/12/2017 11:06 | Cheers WCJ for clarifying. | showme01
11/12/2017 11:05 | Financial results should be out next week. Updates on China & Indonesia please TK! | blueblood
11/12/2017 10:55 | True news would help bolster, can't rely on when though, and sentiment as we've already seen can be very damaging. Lets hope nobody comes forward with a silly offer, or more importantly Tom doesn't succumb. Thanks for the replies I'm relatively new here so opinions appreciated. | paleje
11/12/2017 10:47 | At the AGM Tom said that the last placing was unplanned, a response to an approach from a group who made an offer. As such you have to assume that the cash was not urgently needed and that there is no urgent need now. However, since his approach is to respond to events as they crop up, there is nothing to say that he wouldn't place more shares in response to another approach any time in the future. However, if he is not over a barrel for the cash, one can assume that he would not accept the offer if it was not attractive. | wcj
11/12/2017 10:33 | paleje, I had the same thoughts but have concluded that any placing would be small in comparison to the market cap and Tom is likely to do such a small placing once the share price recovers. News on the China 3d conclusions, Indonesia progress in either further activity or selling our 10% stake would give the current share price a push back up. Even a placing now would have such a limited effect on the price short term. | showme01
11/12/2017 10:27 | Anybody any thoughts on the cash situation here, with the delay to Q1, and we don't know when in Q1, they're incurring costs with potential income to defray them further away. I'm underwater and added a bit first thing but thinking about it, if a placing is likely in the near future might it be best to hold off for a while, they can be quite brutal. And no its not a subtle deramp. | paleje
