24/1/2022 08:58 | What puzzles me is that EME have been paying a consultancy fee for the past few years to CNOOC so have had account details already. I'm sure it will resolve itself. Let's be positive and get the survey completed and commence the drill & flow test this tax year. | dodgydd
24/1/2022 08:57 | What the RNS of the 16/12 did not say was whether the money was still in the bank account that had been frozen. | buzzzzzzzz
24/1/2022 08:55 | JJ OK I accept you did not slag the company off but you did jump to a conclusion that bank not paying out. As I said far too early to make such a judgement. The law moves slowly. | buzzzzzzzz
24/1/2022 08:55 | Buzz, to be balanced mate... It says nowhere in an RNS that ......the money will be returned to EME in due course. With the swell being greatly reduced this last week I would be expecting an RNS to say that survey is done else will start to think that there is something not quite right.. AIMOA | nametrade
24/1/2022 08:53 | Just in case some missed this! Buzzzzzzzz24 Jan '22 - 08:35 - 44187 of 44191 Edit 0 1 0 For the attention of those who don't read ie Begorrah!!! RNS 16/12 The Company is currently working with its bank, the recipient bank and the police authorities in three jurisdictions and can confirm that the recipient bank account has been frozen and that recovery actions have commenced. It is not known at this stage whether the full funds will be recovered. The Company has notified and opened case files with the police in the UK, Singapore and the Federal Police in Australia and criminal investigations have duly commenced. The Company has notified its insurers and has also taken action to ensure the integrity of its own IT systems. RNS 24/01 Empyrean has commenced legal proceedings in the Singapore courts against the company believed to have committed the cyber fraud ("fraudster"), and has obtained an injunction order on 21 January 2022 against the fraudster to freeze its assets and obtain further banking information. The assets have now been frozen the bank account was frozen immediately!!!!!!!!! | buzzzzzzzz
24/1/2022 08:52 | Who’s slagging the company off? This is my post Judijudi24 Jan '22 - 07:41 - 44171 of 44191 Edit Agree 100% Looking like the bank isn’t going to pay us out 🤦🏻 | judijudi
24/1/2022 08:41 | Anyone who expects the money by return is naive in the extreme. The laws have to be followed and the money will be returned to EME in due course. It's a shame that posters on this BB jump to conclusions and slag off the Company without even reading and understanding the RNS. Bank account frozen immediately and now the assets of the company frozen. No one knows the exact events leading up to the fraud yet some posters are laying into EME as if they know all the facts. They certainly would know more facts if they actually read the RNS properly than jump to stupid conclusions!!! PB01 JudiJudi Stewart4990 oilforex bengal1 blueblood Begorrah | buzzzzzzzz
24/1/2022 08:39 | Begorrah, nothing to add to what I've said before and Toon has mentioned earlier, drilling preparations continue and we await a weather window to do the sea bed survey. Except maybe one thing, that it's a bit freakin late to go for an injunction to freeze the assets...I would think that those assets were already frozen by the cyber fraud authorities, so maybe this action is being taken so that EME become a party to that action... Time will tell GLA | lazarus2010
24/1/2022 08:38 | ?Where does it say in that ( or in any market statement) that it was COSL server that was hacked? | begorrah88
24/1/2022 08:35 | They knew exactly what the weather was normally like at this time of year curry - nothing like what it is at the moment! Worst run of weather in 10 years atm. Sod's law. Imo | jemjem

24/1/2022 08:32 | Come on Laz,Team TK apologists first team (toon, jemjem & you) are missing one of their star players!Soon the third 11 (starzerus, hang ten et al) will need to be thrown onto the pitch ;-) | begorrah88
24/1/2022 08:27 | Hype, from EME, wash your mouth out.. | birotop
24/1/2022 08:26 | didnt anyone know what the weather is usually like this time of year? Was the start of drilling before xmas comment just a load of hype? | currypasty
24/1/2022 08:25 | Toon,Where is that detail from? Certainly not in any formal statement put out to the market so carries as much weight as any comment from someone on a bulletin board should. As to whether anything has been delayed or is on hold? Well, I know that COSL have been expecting the deposit for months now & that we have been expecting a survey for months now & we are still no clearer as to when that will happen or when these outstanding permits will be issued. | begorrah88
24/1/2022 08:22 | My understanding is that Sue Gray has been asked to investigate what happened ;-) In the meantime, the bank issue is a side show. This is not having any effect on drill preparations and CNOOC/COSL are fully supportive in allowing operations to continue (it's not as if we have no money at all). It's the weather that is being a pain - but that will resolve itself. Imo | jemjem
24/1/2022 08:20 | It’s not a question of “getting knickers in a twist”…& | birotop
24/1/2022 08:18 | Cheers Toon that's good enough for me I'll focus again back to Jade and Duyung | stewart4990
24/1/2022 08:16 | Begorrah , PB01, Stewart. The action taken is all part of the process, it was COSL server that was hacked I think we will get the money back COSL hasn't stopped the preparations to do the drilling because they hadn't received those funds, have they? Chill guys you all seem to be getting knickers in a twist. :) I'm more interested in when we drill/survey and of course, the Duyung / Conrad project when do we get the GSA agreements signed off. | thetoonarmy2
24/1/2022 08:09 | Typical EME comment, why should we be surprised that it raises doubts in investors minds, something, over the years, we have become accustomed to. | birotop
24/1/2022 08:08 | No way will the money still be in that account and it's a major irritant when focus should be on the high impact Jade well! | blueblood
24/1/2022 08:07 | We're in danger of trying to find the answer without knowing all the facts! | mike the golfer
24/1/2022 08:04 | EME know the account number the money was paid to.. Seems they have just raised an injunction to freeze that account. I would be surprised if any money is still in that account. | bengal1 |
