26/8/2015 20:16 | jonwig, skinny The York Street address is a virtual office, which really tells you all you need to know. Lovely stuff. | jl9
26/8/2015 19:15 | Skinny - a strange set-up. Presumably they have escaped FCA supervision by not being a collective investment vehicle. London and Dubai, indeed! Re ESP, I hope I didn't come across as unduly negative, but I'm quite heavily invested in DIGS (smaller, entirely London-focussed), and once I'm invested in a sector, I actively seek out possible negatives unlike some investors who refuse to contemplate bad news. Present company excepted. | jonwig
26/8/2015 17:54 | Yep..I've purchased a load of these too in my SIPP for long term hold 10 years+..6% per year yield plus capital growth(I'm expecting 200p+ in 10 years time) Personally think it's great how they are putting the money to use aggressively..it's one of the reasons why I'm invested. A strong management team(just listen to the company audio calls). Just wished i had invested more in ESP instead of some of these horrific oil shares!! ;-) | 0rient
26/8/2015 17:46 | Agree with you JL9,this is a long termer for me,can see nothing wrong with business model and a good yield to boot.No brainer really. | fourgirls
26/8/2015 17:32 | Not for me either. Empiric gives me the exposure I want to the sector with good transparency and liquidity. | jl9
26/8/2015 17:18 | This may be of interest to some - too rich for me :- removed! | skinny
26/8/2015 17:03 | Student rental yields have historically proved quite resilient in comparison with commercial. My sense is there's nothing especially peaky in the areas they are buying in and they are still obtaining their target yields. The govt will no doubt be going for a few 'crack down' headlines but I don't think they'd throw the baby out with the bathwater. These are Russell Group universities, not the 'Shakespeare College of English' outfits you hear about. | jl9
26/8/2015 08:41 | They raised £75m in July and made seven acquisitions this month for a total of ... £75m! They must have had these lined up as possibles for some time, as the due diligence would have kept them too busy. Are they buying near a market peak? It might not matter given demand for student digs, but the government are rumbling about foreign students getting places at some second and third rate unis, jacking in their courses and going to work - all with the connivance of the uni. I'm just a bit cagey about investing here. | jonwig

13/8/2015 07:59 | ESP is a REIT. I assume you know what that means | daveofdevon
12/8/2015 21:48 | HiThis Web page is a good starting point.hxxp://www.esp | swsmith20
12/8/2015 20:29 | Hi folks, looking at investing here, very little price movement. Is this an investment trust or an individual stock. Just can't understand why the price has only traded in a 9p range over the last 12 months ? Tia. | wilk1
07/8/2015 10:42 | Likewise the progress made by the smaller GCP vehicle, DIGS, also bodes well. | wirralowl
07/8/2015 10:31 | Looking at the revaluation of UTG over the last few months and you see the potential here once fully invested. | rik shaw
07/8/2015 08:11 | Good to see this finally breaking out | gswredland
05/8/2015 13:05 | I think Empiric are also going about it in the right way. Developing their accommodation assets at key locations close to amenities and transport links results in highly rentable assets with high residual values. | jl9
05/8/2015 09:59 | This article from the Telegraph gives me great confidence for our investment | daveofdevon
27/7/2015 13:22 | It's days like today..when the rest of my portfolio is tumbling(mostly oils) is that I'm glad I've invested in ESP!! Safe as houses(no pun intended :-)) with massive divi payment. Not sure what to expect on capital growth front..i suppose 150p is a fair target as a 3/4 year target? Anyone got valuations for ESP further down the line? | 0rient
24/7/2015 16:38 | Mine have also been showing with Hargreaves Landsdown for the last couple of days but separately from my existing holding and with this note: This stock is an interim line resulting from a corporate action that will be exchanged for cash and/or stock. My understanding is that this is what I will get if my now irrevocable application is met in full - not that I have been allocated any. | jl9
24/7/2015 16:09 | Well I've been allocated the full 100% via selftrade/equiniti - already in my account. | wirralowl
24/7/2015 09:10 | is everybody getting the full amount theve asked for | metamick
23/7/2015 10:51 | Yes, great news and nice to see the price respond positively. With the excess demand, they've raised almost as much in this issue, as on their initial float (£85m). | wirralowl
23/7/2015 09:09 | Bingo. Suggests there ought to be healthy demand for these going forward. | jl9
21/7/2015 11:19 | Good article, thanks. ADVFN doesn't like i ii as it's a competitor. (Stupid I know.) Paste this and close the gap in i ii: www.i ii.co.uk/equity-rese | jonwig |
