12/3/2024 01:15 | The Chinese Zhongsheng Resource were extracting ilmenite not titanite. The 30-60% extraction of titanium is from the ilmenite not titanite. The research describes a new modern method of Ti02 extraction which can process the titanite using hydrobromic acid leaching & carbochlorination in which 99.5 wt.% purity was obtained with next to zero pollution to the environment. That is the conclusion of the study. 99.5% Purity.BlueJay has zero relevance & neither does the China Zhongsheng Resource which you have misunderstood. The Chinese can now extract close to 100% Ti02 with the new method. It's also important to note the China Resource processed low grade sands & rocks for ilmenite only. These low grade sands & rocks contained only 5%Ti02. Pitfield has THICK GIANT Highly Concentrated High-Grade Sediment Hosted titanium up to 67% Ti02!You've basically read the paper upside down & inverted the conclusion. Ask yourself why would five top scientists publish a paper in 2016 about a process that was known about in 2009 & why would Harvard publish it?https://ui.adsabs | reubenl

11/3/2024 19:25 | If it was risk free the shares would be over £1 . The risk has been overstated and the share price fall is ridiculous - although predictable looking at the charts. In adversity there is opportunity . Very oversold - buy when there is blood on the street | juju44

11/3/2024 16:18 | ReubenL, thanks for posting the paper. It says the only mine with titanite is owned by China Zhongsheng Resources which has an ore that contains both ilmenite, the same mineral Bluejay had, and titanite (which made up 45% of the total ore). It said Zhongsheng could only extract 30-60% total titanium because only the ilmenite was viable, while the titanite was considered a gangue mineral (defined as "a commercially valueless material in which ore is found"). The paper then goes on to describe a laboratory experiment to try and process titanite using coal. I have done a search and can't find any mine in the world processing titanite. I find it difficult to understand how they can use titanite assays to describe a world class discovery and ask for funding for a 44km drill programe. Nor, as another poster pointed out, would you design a programe to build a demonstration plant without doing a scoping study first, as they are suggesting. They are also saying they are going to start the EIA and EIS process (which is not cheap) to apply for a permit. It really looks like they are putting the cart before the horse on this one. However, they have stuck their necks out. Intregued to see how they move this forward. | suren602
