Having been away for a few days, I've got a lot of catching up to do. Fortunately I missed the 'everybody out' market scenario earlier this week or I would have been tempted to add to my ELCO pot which would have been rather foolish as that's overflowing already!

MS Project is just black and white lines, and you need a training course just to set up or understand a P6 plan. I prefer Asta Powerproject. You can easily put a client’s logo on it, so they feel more involved, and you can colour code areas and shade things. It’s just easier to look at and understand.”

Summing up the business benefit of using Asta Powerproject at Keepmoat Regeneration, Jonathan concluded: “Like all projects, our objective is to finish on time and on budget. Asta Powerproject provides the platform from which to monitor progress and costs, while at the same time forecasting any potential delays that could affect the project completing on time.”]

I find today's trading prices completely baffling. Online quotes from my broker were 44/47p but, apart from one tiny (215 shares) trade @ 46.5p, there were five (totalling 76,837) @ 45.0p, one (50k) @ 45.4p and one (50k) @ 46.0p. Time I changed broker?

It must have been an irresistible offer from what is virtually a startup company in the UK. Not only has he turned his back on a £112k salary (2016) but has also forfeited the chance of buying 200k shares @ 28.7p if the conditions of the October '16 options issue are met. A brave decision but then he has turned his back on ELCO once before.

amazing imho that in 2018 that companies are permitted to say "in line with mkt expectations" without giving any numbers !!

whereas I think in the USA they would say "our turnover expectation was between xyz & ghf & we now refine that expectation to be within the last top 10% of that range"

'Significantly higher' sounds very bullish wording, till you read that it was already the 'market expectations'. Happy to have a strong share price rise, though.

Rev's & PBT both significantly higher than last year and in line with market expectations. (So +15% & +43%). Moves in to Net Cash. "Successful integration of the ICON business". Look f'ward with confidence... Sounds good. I Hold

No trading statement? Last year's was on 20th January,leads me to expect no fireworks in the yearend results in March/April announcement.

Yes, rathkum, ELCO's young execs seem to want to seek their fortune elsewhere on a fairly regular basis. But then, why shouldn't they, it's no good getting to my age having too many regrets (sigh!).

On a brighter note, we both know Johnathan H and he thoroughly deserves his promotion. On reflection, it makes you wonder whether the two changes are in any way connected ... the green-eyed monster?

ansc - small world!

I've had a small holding in ELCO since '05 which by some fortunate chance I topped up during the lows of 2013. Bought a few more recently as they seem good value especially for what is now a software firm. And discover I am sitting on quite a profit.

Aah, the CAR crash! Yes, I wos there! Took the whole ride from 23p all the way to 500p and back again. When will I learn?

Welcome, illiswlgig, it's always good to see a new name on the bb. Luckily, my ELCO addiction (over 17 years) has so far been a profitable one which has offset my disastrous CAR one.
