13/6/2019 12:02 | No, according to me karim is a fraudster and has manipulated the stock and stolen money from shareholders. Branson did no such thing. I cant blame Karim for wanting to hide his actions away from the public because he has (IMO) committed fraud and it was becoming more and more obvious to everyone...everyone except the incredibly stupid. | zipster241
12/6/2019 22:01 | Some guys do not understand the benefits of being private. Read on: Virgin’s Richard Branson, Hugh Hefner of Playboy and Michael Dell of the computer maker have all taken their companies private in the belief that they would fare better out of the glare of the markets. Other well-known brands taken private by founders after a spell as a public company include Iceland, Caffè Nero and Matalan . The main reasons for taking a company private include: Getting away from the glare of publicity A public company is just that – owned by external investors – mainly through pension and other investment funds that buy shares. Management therefore has to be publicly accountable and subject to scrutiny by investors and in the press. Most chief executives accept that attention but some company founders resent being in the spotlight. After Virgin floated in 1986 Richard Branson, an extrovert when it comes to marketing his products, never warmed to the task of explaining his finances and decisions to the City and two years later he took Virgin private again. So according to kemch, zipster and co, Branson is Bonkers? | belt n braces

12/6/2019 11:22 | why would investors who have lost all of their investment, be thinking about the savings 8PG will make by moving private ? I would think they will be more concerned about never seeing any return at all.......You are a very strange character. Are you not bothered that this firm have stolen all of your cash ? I would be fuming............ | zipster241
11/6/2019 13:02 | I will be very surprised if there are any trades via asset match. However, on the theme of going from public to private, my football team, the great Aberdeen FC has just announced they intend to go private as this will help them raise additional funds from investors. So being a PLC may not always be for the best, just think of all the savings 8PG now have not having to payout to brokers/nomads, etc. | belt n braces
