08/2/2006 14:58 | Well, and Energis board said that CW was a better deal!! What I want to know is who is accountable for all energis mismanagement, Is clear that they have been goig from the down road from long time ago and there has had not authority to stop them. How can the lenders give money a company that was going to banckrupcy? How can they put that company away from the stock market? How can names such as A. Norman going away with high paid off leaving the company worse than before, regarding shareholder interest? I don't think so this kind of aventure gives him a good reputation among fair and sensible people. That is a Pity that Norman after getting a good name, working for many years, now come out performing as star in another suspicios deal of London Stock Exchange. I still hope we can get something back!!! | alchamir
07/2/2006 15:24 | Thus to buy Energis....the `Scotsman` | htrocka
05/2/2006 06:47 | Energis has been an expensive mistake for C@W.....so much for `city advisers` who thought this would be a good marriage,...C@W are now looking for a divorce settlement that has already cost the head of it`s no 2.... as a consequence of the Energis `tie-up`,it`s not elvis that`s left the building...it`s C@W`s no 2.....before the `marriage, C@W`s share price was £1.47....it`s now down to 97p...and the company has just been down graded by Investec........ and will probably be in the 80p area within the next week or so.....Energis should have asked it`s original shareholders for more cash ....we would have supported the company to the hilt..but the `city advisers` had different ideas and ended up not only ruining Energis but also Cable and Wireless into the bargain.....just so that `a couple` of city slickers` can make a few quid.......this capitalism at work. | htrocka
05/2/2006 06:47 | sorry to dissapoint...but elvis is alive and kicking....and looks as if THUSare going to end up with him.. | htrocka
04/2/2006 19:57 | alchamir Sorry to report. Elvis left the Building a Long time ago . | gerry2
04/2/2006 19:10 | We haven't had any official word about enegis shareholders from either chelys or CW , do we have to wait for a last word or everything is at this stage completely lost? what hope left? | alchamir
02/2/2006 06:47 | I see that United Untilities has become a major share holder in THUS....very reminiscent of NGG and Energis union whereby a utility Co became the major shareholder .....lets hope this doesn`t go down the same road and end up in a `pump and dump` operation as well. Thus shareholders should be very wary and remeber what happened to Energis. | htrocka

27/1/2006 06:33 | from todays TELEGRAPH.... Viking raider on horizon puts jolt through Cable & Wireless Dealers were cautiously watching Cable & Wireless yesterday as rumours circulated that an Icelandic investor has been dabbling in the telecoms group's shares. According to talk in the market, the investor has been purchasing shares over the past month, usually around 4m to 5m shares a day at prices up to 129p a share. However, the Viking share trader is also said to have been selling the stock at higher prices, only to buy it back again when it falls. It is thought that the Icelandic investor is sitting on a stake of less than 3pc and so does not have to declare its position. Cable & Wireless, which has been cited as a takeover target in recent months, eased ΒΌ to 115p. personal comment...it would be ironic if Cable and Wireless were taken over....and the new owners decided to ditch Energis...and the company ends up being refloated on the markets?.....the possibilty does exist...not that it would do us any good.. exept to remind me how capitalism works. | htrocka

26/1/2006 00:48 | Good Evening All, How are you Gerry2, you have been a contributor here for a long time. I now unfortunatly only visit occasionally. I wrote of 27K on the Energis affair and have long ago claimed my capital allowances on the loss, however I am sure that many investors don't have the capital gain to put against that loss, that is to say was a real loss of capital or income was made. I made my first investment with Energis when it had a billion pound turnover, was listed in the Footse and had just agreed a 780 Million pound loan deal with its Bankers. Then within a fortnight announced that it could not meet its bond coupon. I still think that the financial questions about the conduct of the Energis management have not been answered. I don't believe that as individulals we can beat the system, but we tried. Regards Finmac | finmac
19/1/2006 00:39 | Good evening folks, I am glad some of you are still here, we are the champions for the small sharholder and must not let the likes of large banks and bondholding companies over ride the will of the small share holder.Remember that we still own Energis,The company, Regards Finmac | finmac
