Apologies for delay in replying.

It is the final payment for EFR.

Distribution payment will be just over 7p per share.
Payment to be made on 19 August.
If you are nominee account it will come by Crest but you should notify provider as most of them have written it off.

If you hold certificates it is more difficult.
No payment if under £10 (approx 140 shares)

Grant Thornton (liquidators) require due diligence. Long list of items to be declared. Administration is done by GT in Jersey. Suggest you contact Lucy.Allen@gt-ci.com for further details.

looloo you might get £320 if you can go through all the hoops! Contact HL because they have never heard of ERF

XD is 12 August. charged extra cost after that date.

hi Linhur - is this a final payment for the EFR realisation fund? i havent been able to get any info from Hargreaves landown on this for the last few years, and I don't get the correspondence from liquidators because HL doesnt seem to pass it on. I still have around £4,500 tied up in this, I would love to know what is happening!!

I have had letter from liquidators in Guernsey that EFR are paying a 7p dividend towards the end of August but require a long Anti Money Laundering document to be completed, No value if dividend is under £10.

Are you sure that you have got the right company?

The communication I received on 10 January referred to Ecofin Water & Power Opportunities Plc which was the previous company before the split to Ecofin Global Utilities and Infrastucture and EF Realisation Co.

This thread only covers EFR.

I did contact the liquidators of EFR in Guernsey a few weeks ago as I was expecting a huge bonus from sale of Australian Water rights as a result of the forest fires.Unfortunately these rights were sold some time ago and there is no bonus!
Sometime later there might be a small token final distribution.

Certainly once I'd sold mine @psync ;)

I'd be fairly confident on getting all EFR suggested for the remaining assets at least. And LONE held up reasonably well considering oil tank.

@kenmitch - you should have been aware of this. I posted that I'd had to sell my EFR holding pre-record date due to my SIPP provider not being able to hold US shares - ie getting any LONE was out of the question. I initially sold it down to the 75k limit before this 20th Sept RNS from the co, which I also posted:

"When determining whether a Shareholder holds the requisite number of Shares in order to be classed as a Qualifying Shareholder, the Company's registrar will only look at the registered holding of the Shares on the Record Date (being the close of business on 24 September 2018). As the registered holding is ascertained by reference to the nominee name which appears on the Company's share register, whether or not a Shareholder is a Qualifying Shareholder shall be determined solely by reference to the holding of the Shareholder whose nominee name appears in the share register. The Company's registrar will not look through to any beneficial holdings of Shares."

ie the 75k limit is per nominee a/c, be that iii, Selftrade, HL etc, not per individual shareholder. "The company's registrar will not look through to any beneficial holdings of shares".

Also posted that I'd spoken to the co to try to get them to change tack, but wasn't happy with the answer. Come to think of it they didn't even respond to my final email.

Shouldn't take months to get LONE though - and can always spreadbet against them if concerned where the price is going. Not sure what happens to those whose broker can't take US shares.

Been unimpressed by the endgame in EFR, despite doing well on it. (Even those ending up with LONE in nominee a/c should still do OK).

iii are not paying out the 54.7p to shareholders owning fewer than 75000 shares. Instead they have lumped those of us holding fewer than 75000 shares together ....which means ALL those who bought EFR via iii are going to get Lonestar shares. Even worse they say it could take months before Lonestar shares are credited to their clients accounts.
Have other Brokers done this as well? i.e has anyone holding less than 75000 in a nominee account received the cash pay out? Or is iii yet again out on a limb?

@Linhur - should still be a profit in it, but tend to agree. Was very disappointed with the co's ignorance when I spoke to them re nominee holders, & also disappointed with the whole process of "announce we're going to sell them in the market weeks in advance", rather than dripping out the amount they thought they'd need to sell.

Wasn't rocket science - if the vote didn't go through, they'd still have had to sell them. Also not rocket science that many UK holders (which I bet is 90% of the individuals who hold, post-ECWO, and considering where EFR was listed) won't be able to hold/won't want LONE.

Thanks @kenmitch - valid point. "What goes up" etc. EFR have always claimed LONE to be very undervalued compared to their peers - latest big rise (which has come despite a lower oil price) must have brought them back in line. I slightly wish they were selling into this rise.

On the plus side - EFR have seats on the LONE board, so in theory, if bad news was coming, they ought to know about it. Whether that would let them sell is unlikely, but it might have let them tweak the EFR NAV. Plus, if there was bad news on eg drilling or production, I doubt this big rise would have occurred.

Either way - LONE is now c.75% of EFR's NAV, so the price they finally achieve will have a big effect on what we get back.

On the plus side - if I'm right about current NAV, there's a fair bit of leeway in the EFR price already.

What EFR said in early June when LONE was $7:

"Lonestar's management continues to believe that its high quality assets and strengthened balance sheet are not well reflected in Lonestar's equity market valuation. Not only is Lonestar's share price (at $7.08 per share on 6 June 2018) trading at approximately 37% of the value indicated by the independent valuation of its proved and probable reserves, but Lonestar's shares stand on low trading multiples compared to its quoted peers that operate in the Eagle Ford shale basin or are smaller oil focussed US E&P companies. Lonestar's proved reserves are valued at just $7.6 per barrel of oil equivalent compared to its quoted peers whose proved reserves are valued at $11.4 per barrel of oil equivalent. Moreover, Lonestar's shares currently trade at an enterprise value equivalent to approximately 4.9 times analysts' estimates of 2018 EBITDA, while quoted peers trade at an average of 6.4 times EBITDA."

Also worth noting - particularly the "..Each asset..", which includes LONE. And they were dead right about LONE s/p! ::

"Your Board's and Investment Manager's focus is on realising the carrying values of the three significant remaining investments in the portfolio. Discussions are underway for each asset which should enable the Company to accomplish this goal and return the value to Shareholders in the coming months. Moreover, Lonestar's management is executing on a business plan that it believes will enhance its attractiveness to investors and drive an increase in its share price, which would raise the Company's NAV."
