Investing,
Further to your earlier question @14671 ..I imagine Sue Young will be very familiar with Eden's insecticide plans and might well be giving Eden's Director Regulatory Affairs food for thought.

'I have worked in regulatory affairs in the pesticide industry for over 20 years. I have experience of EU and national regulatory processes having managed both active substance and product dossiers. I specialise in the registration of biopesticides. I have also recently been working on GB only projects'. (date unknown)

Sue Young
Regulatory Affairs Manager at Certis Europe

I'm wondering if this is the very same Sue Young

We had a panel discussion on the substance renewal programme, looking at the challenges it imposes on various parts of the industry.

The general consensus and consistent message was the need for a predictable and sensibly implemented regulatory framework as it was intended.

We would like to thank our panelist for their insightful thoughts!

Eden Research says seed treatment market looking "very interesting"

@6.10m

"If a sufficient number of farmers make a compelling case to the regulator that unregistered products should be allowed into the market into the UK then it is within their gift to allow it or not allow it".

Loss of seed treatments – NFU convened industry group writes to the Farming Minister

The loss of certain seed treatments poses a significant threat to the success of some crops, particularly maize and fodder beet. The NFU and industry partners have written to the Farming Minister highlighting the risks of losing seed treatments and calling for action.

Currently seeds treated with PPPs (Plant Protection Products) that are not authorised for that use in Great Britain, but are authorised in an EU member state are permitted to be imported, marketed and used in Great Britain, under Article 49(1) of Regulation (EC)1107/2009, up until 31 December 2023.

However, from 1 January 2024, only seed treated with a PPP that is authorised for that purpose in Great Britain will be permitted for use in Great Britain.

This change in regulation is causing significant concern, particularly for growers of maize and fodder beet, that rely heavily on the use of seed treated with EU approved bird repellent and fungicide.

There are currently no seed treatments licenced for application to maize or fodder beet in the UK. This issue also affects a number of vegetable crops and a small number of cereals.

🚨🚨Bad news…real time Disability Data from US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) rose 857k in June to a new all time high of 34.15 million. The rate of change is accelerating again. If this was a stock it’s a break out chart and reacceleration of trend. Both employed women & men hit new highs as well.

STFU.

prevaricatingisatrickygame, it is not better to remain silent and so leave some people in doubt, rather than open it and thereby dispel any lingering doubts that you are a total ar$ehole, cheat, liar and idiot?

Why have we not written anything on seeds? Surely that is 'food for thought' for Eden, for shareholders, farmers and consumers.

Wey,

This part is already done imo...we just await the announcement/s and maybe explains the drought in directors buying..who knows?

'Appointment of distributor(s) for insecticide product'

Just like in 2021 Corteva / Eden told us of 2024.

A paradigm is shifting in Eden's favour now and it has the wind of captured regulators behind it so there will be no more leaves on the in the coming line. .

Investing,

Territory in 2024 US / China / India and likely EU.
Partly described on page 24 of AGM presentation.

Whale2 and whale3 along with Corteva (whale1) will lead distribution roles.

I am not convinced there will be any auction type activity by all of the insecticide players noted by Eden but instead an agreed process which imo is already in place (Eden as the consolidator) which will act as an accelerant enabling the emergency authorisation to be implemented earlier than currently stated.

Will the Whale2 led commercialisation of Eden's insecticide get early 2024 Emergency Authorisation as imo Ecovelex is about to?

Yes ..until I get there it's hard to appreciate the terrain or the trial conditions as you say.

I've not been to the north west before so San Luis Rio Colorado should be fun to explore with the trial fella as the itinerary indicates we'll be journeying between fields of zucchini in Sonaro and corn in Jalisco .
