No, I won’t be buying, Brucie5 but I’m very pleased for you to see the further spike as I know I was the cause of you not taking advantage of the Mail tip and pre fund raising spike. Hope there’s further to go short term. Good too to see your quality portfolio continuing to bounce too. That was always just a need to be patient, but for shares like PHNX it’s a shame that others who bought, panic sold on the dip instead of understanding that shares so often go far too low in bear markets(and then far too high in bull markets) instead of realising that those excessive falls are buy or top up opportunities.

As for EDEN……just a chance that this time with Ecovelex it WILL be different with strong sales and further approvals ahead? But when? If it happens and if at long last they get sales and revenues from previous product approvals then EDEN is a potential multi bagger, but it’s a very long shot for now.But a good chance this short term spike has further to go.

Has this Corteva SAT page been updated?

hTTps :// www .sat.corteva.com/products/Ecovelex.html

go to 'Download factsheet'

I remember Maize and Suflowers in the big picture and we guessed at the other seeds.

Now we have four big picture seeds in their seedcoat / Ecovelex coating.

Brucie5.

Its very easy to get the Cavendish/Cenkos reports - I think I simply signed in from the Eden website.
In essence, they have not changed their CY projections other than to say that perhaps some of their projected £1.6m income from ecovalex in 2024 could be realised this year.
I think we should just watch this space.
As I wrote earlier, we will hear from the BoD if not before Christmas, then before the end of Jan - regarding their trading update and outlook.

The BoD has referred to Ecovelex as a game-changer.
This is the start, in my view.

Are other countries likely to follow suit?

Yes. Full regulatory in the EU will come in due course. One might reasonably assume other EU countries will hopefully give an EUA approval to Ecovelex.

From the 2021 AGM presentation Eden stated

"Eden’s active ingredients are already approved in the EU and are in the latter stages of approval in the United States, facilitating the registration of the formulated seed treatment product."

Well, those AI's are now US approved, as is Sustaine, so might Eden pursue US approval for Ecovelex too?

In the 2020 Placing in the appendix, Eden set out the Addressable market by country for Mevalone and Cedroz

So to understand the breakdown of total market opportunity in Europe, I think it would be helpful for investors if Eden did the same for Ecovelex, bird repellant on Maize.

PS. Don't forget that Corteva has already stated they are trialling Ecovelex on Sunflower crops too

Ken; yes this seems to be earlier than expected, which is a good sign. As to the investment case it seems fully funded for the next two years ( I know other say three, but companies never risk full extent of their cash in the bank!) which gives a runway for Ecovelex to ramp up sales. I think it will be far tighter than most here think, but it's really about the inflexion point before the hockey stick curve.
So to me there are two points at which to buy: at the very bottom. Or on the breakout. And given that the last breakout was reversed by dilution, it is surely reasonable to assume that the next one will not be. Though it might attract traders as/if it moves too far ahead of itself.
I think we're still in a moment of asymmetric risk/reward. The share price has gone nowhere for years, rather like sales; but the product line and regulatory permissions have advanced significantly.
And this does not yet include the insecticide.

Brucie5.

You might get the spike I said wouldn’t happen for ages on this news. But will marketing for Ecovelex be any more effective than it was for Med and Ced? I’ve got this stupid fascination with EDEN. Have known for 10 years or more that there have been supposedly transformational approvals and partner agreements that should have lead to substantial sales, but never did. That would normally mean never looking at it again, but mainly because of the illogical enthusiasm for EDEN on another site I still can’t resist keeping an eye out for EDEN updates.

And there ARE trading opportunities and the classic one (where my incompetence at trading only gave a quick in and out 30% profit instead of the very quick treble available to competent traders) was when somehow Eden and Cenkos persuaded the MIDAS journalist to tip Eden. Is this another trading opportunity? Share price reaction is muted so far.

Cavendish note out is rubbish.
Well it better be, ha ha.

Ecovelex sales will be much higher than the £1.6m next year - I expect them to be higher than that this year!

Still within six weeks, probably less, we will have a company update.
While it may not blow our socks off - next year will.

All in my oinion.

Very good news; but if the company is to succeed it does not just need a blockbuster product. The insecticide looks rather distant; Mev & Ced are still achieving only miniscule sales; Ecovelex will need to sell volume before the end of next year, to fulfil Investing's expectation of BE.
But still - we advance in stages. Corteva seems to be marketing this and it has huge potential.
Happy to hold (again).
