Organic farming already accounts for 23.3% of production in the Region of Murcia

The organic cultivation area in the Region of Murcia increased in 2020 to reach 23.3% of all production in the autonomous community. It went to 71,823 hectares in 2019 compared to 69,198 with which 2018 ended. This represents an increase of 2,625 hectares, 3.65% more.

These are the figures that have been released by the Ministry of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, whose general director of Food Industry and Agricultural Cooperativism, José Gómez, recalled that "the figures continue to improve, and we remain the territory of the Union European company that more proportionally dedicates to organic farming ".

Gómez stressed that organic producers "will receive a total of 14.5 million euros in aid in 2020, both for the maintenance of these productions (11 million), corresponding to the 2019 campaign, and for the reconversion (3.5 millions)".

2017 Seeds Treatment collaboration ..news

DuPont and Sumitomo Chemical Company Announce Global Seed-Applied Technology Agreement.

"We are excited about this collaboration with Sumitomo Chemical. The Sumitomo Chemical portfolio and pipeline will complement the investments DuPont has made in discovery, development and commercialization of seed-applied products. Partnering with Sumitomo Chemical early in the development process enables us to create higher performing seed-applied products for our customers," said Mick Messman, director, DuPont Seed Applied Technologies.

Collaborations between DuPont and Sumitomo Chemical's regional affiliate, Valent U.S.A. LLC., will focus on the North American region with potential expansion opportunities to multiple crop markets globally.

The RNS ' Sipcam exercises Option for new distribution agreements in additional territories' links Sipcam and Valent Bioscience to EDEN and relationships are discussed further in previous post 5395.

Of note and pertinent here is the following paragraph;

'In addition to the new distribution agreements to be signed by the two parties, collaboration work continues with Sipcam in respect of Eden's natural microencapsulation technology, Sustaine™, which is being assessed for synergy with a number of active ingredients used in crop protection. Using the Sustaine technology potentially brings a number of advantages to existing conventional and natural active ingredients such as enhanced efficacy, formulation stability, patent protection, time-release and resistance management'.

The ecological thing is penetrating, with 518 million turnover
The first organic production plan of the Community reveals that the certified area of the Community grew by 18.6% in one year and doubles the national average

The first organic production plan of the Valencian Community, which spanned since 2015 and is about to end, has far exceeded all expectations.

The certified surface of the Community, which the Generalitat subsidizes by 70%, has increased by 18.6% in the last year, but this increase also doubles the national average, which in absolute numbers places it as leader compared to the rest of autonomies, according to the data of the balance of the plan, that the Minister of Agriculture, Mireia Mollà, has carried out in Alicante.

In those five years, the volume of organic production operators has grown by 45%, by 37% by producers (with 2,484, the highest figure) and by 73% in that of companies; The latter is a significant fact, because we are the second largest in number of companies dedicated to this sector.

Organic farming is also establishing itself as an important business element, as evidenced by the increase of 66 million euros last year compared to 2018, within business figures of 518.2 million generated.

And within these figures, the province of Alicante "throws a lot": the area dedicated to organic farming is the largest of the three in the Community, with 35,427 hectares, especially in products such as grapes and citrus, as noted the General Director of Rural Development, David Torres, up to 1,092 operators; that is, 30% of all producers in the Community.

None of Eden's products appears to offer protection for rice crops, so I am not sure why this is relevant. Have I missed something?

Erinvale,
Yes my point was just that ..folk are buying into the story.

Lube..they are a group of folk who only post on a prescribed agenda identified by a campaign director with the express aim of establishing and dominating a specific narrative whilst attempting to give the impression of individual agency.

Er - Supersonico: please explain: the LUBE team? If buys are 2x sells then someone IS buying into the story, are they not?

I'm having flash backs of tag wrestling from the 70's.

But the Lube team are not that convincing.

What a remarkable transformation we are witnessing..

But the 2x buys to sells yesterday tells me ..no one is buying the Metamorphosis. LOL

Bank of America advised aelling MOSAIC and also advised that CORTEVA, NUTRIAN AND C F INDUSTRIES were also vulnrable (and imo all others in the agri-supply business) on fertiser over supply and as lower margins for farmers put pressure in 2021 seed prices.(Source FT)

Erinvale,
I understand your frustration, my own bug bear is the consistency of information across company reports and RNS detail. There is no excuse for discrepancy in this and it just looks sloppy. The TT 'back to skool' narrative looks like an issue Eden have absolutely no control over to me..

However my own research as laid out in 7692 suggests to me that much of the TT/CAP delay described by Eden as Formulation or bottle cap issues could well be attributed to the development of the 'next generation encapsulation'(1) which firstly improved stability and control over Carvacrol release (2)and also addressed 'broader set of challenges for (it's)partners(3).

This development adds to the already slow process of development, regulatory /field etc and has to be all NDA.

It's slow but imo when you put together the IP evolution, the fundraise and Corteva
and potentially wider DOW relationships along with the ramp up in recruitment then hopefully the light at the end of the in the coming short order tunnel is getting slowly bigger..maybe

News may spike Eden‘s share price temporarily but only a sustained sales stream will shift it long term. Weak management caused me to sell out some time ago. I said then that I would buy in again at 3p. No idea whether it will fall that far but on current trends it could well do so. Pity, because the IP is world-beating.

Thanks Investing, I Appreciate the feed back.

What nails it for me is Eden having two Scientific advisors with Rice specialisms .

They also have used Richard Smart for his Viticulture Knowledge.

Agreed super. Some decent buys coming in, mopping up those sales. Pretty sensible in my opinion.

Btw, your post 7692 seems credible to me. I can see that. Whether it becomes reality is another thing, but it is logical; to my mind anyway.

That's not going to happen Investing. It has to stay safe cowering behind the paywall for fear of 'consequences'.

You remember don't you?

When the Fella who can't say Cedroz became all coy and could not bring himself to say the F word on a public BB.

Those Consequences... .thus the cowering behind the Paywall.

Still the share price drop does seem to suit those who have done their DD/research.
