So as highlighted in post 7722 Eden and UMMS fund this.

This relates to this;

YEAST CELL WALL PARTICLE ENCAPSULATION OF BIODEGRADABLE PRO-PAYLOADS

and discuses issues with the IP and enhancements. AKA Tweaks

Supersonico has for 2-3 years nattered on about parallel delayed CAP/TT

IMO the tweaks are related and possibly Bayer and TT are partners but given that Dow hosted a presentation of this enhanced/tweaked YCWP technology and we have a Corteva relationship we could persuasively argue that a Dow relationship with TT is a possibility.

So add in our annual and updated TT back to school news which has had an equally cummings-esq history, we may be seeing the beginnings of the end of the in the coming short order epoch for Eden TT/CAP and perhaps even a dual announcement on both and it's anyones guess which ecocidal behemoth we snuggle up with.

(I'm going to have to check this but ..Also add in that this is the first time Bayer has been cited in an EDEN RNS title ...so this is tectonic progress however one looks at it imo).

Forth CAP line on Eden web page but we still have not formally agreed the forth Formulation with Bayer News aka .. is anyone still buying the short order Forth formulation narrative? (I'm Not) .News update

Update on IN THE COMING SHORT ORDER Bayer Animal Health Agreement.

Eden Research plc (AIM: EDEN), the AIM-quoted company focused on sustainable biopesticides and plastic-free encapsulation technology for use in global crop protection, animal health and consumer products industries, today announces that it has agreed to an amendment to its existing license agreement with Bayer Animal Health (or "Bayer") for animal health products.

To progress the final development of a portfolio of Bayer products based upon Eden's technology and know-how, both parties have agreed to amend the existing license agreement to reflect several key changes. There will be an increased investment in the project, which has been facilitated in part by Eden's successful fundraise in March 2020. The amended agreement will allow Eden to contribute to the formulation development process by deploying its expertise with bio-active substances and formulations developed over a number of years.

The Company has previously communicated that there have been some challenges relating to one important formulation. The amended agreement is designed to overcome these challenges and better meet Bayer's stringent product profile requirements through an expanded collaborative approach.
Bayer remains committed to the commercialisation of up to four formulations, subject to Eden reformulation and testing, and Bayer evaluation and acceptance of reformulation and testing results. If for any reason Bayer does not advance the project, both parties have agreed that all elements of the intellectual property and know-how will transfer to Eden, including formulations, clinical and marketing data, market research, business plans, the associated brands and trademarks, and other information relating to the project.

The amended agreement also specifically references the intention of the parties to enter into a supply agreement upon successful completion of the development work. The anticipated commercial launch of these products is a part of Eden's strategic priority for business line diversification and demonstrates the scope for further exploitation of the Company's core technologies and know-how beyond biopesticides and crop protection.

Morning super,

The Corteva deal will dwarf existing deals. You could easily 10* today's share price on that deal alone and that would still not be enough.

Mirandaj recently said we have too much time on our hands posting here. These BB's are simply an online conversation. I come here to learn and exchange opinion. So some of your recent posts including post 7740 have helped me and it is information I am not receiving from elsewhere. So, that is a good thing.

I'm sure some people come on here with an agenda, but I don't. I'm invested and I just want to learn more about my investment and exchange thoughts online.

Investing,
As a researcher over the years one is used to digging around trying to make sense of the market. One can scratch around to try and make some assumptions about the Fungicide market or try and extrapolate what $$ Cedroz might generate for Eastman.

What I am struck by and it's obvious is the shear scale difference that Corteva represents over Eastman or Sipcam. For obvious reasons the share price is not factoring in the Corteva news imo but once the magnitude of that news sinks in with further announcements, then I expect fireworks.

Sean Smith says Eden will act as a 'Consolidator' in the industry. He's talking about SustainE being the 'Consolidator' imo which when applied beyond Corteva to the other ag behemoths things could get a little interesting..in a ARM sort of way.

Sipcam Oxon lands in Chile, Paraguay, Russia and Thailand

In the second half of 2020, new commercial offices will open in Chile, Paraguay, Russia and Thailand. This was announced by Sipcam Oxon, the Italian multinational and 12th in the world rankings of the agrochemicals, administrative headquarters in Pero (Milan), consolidated 2019 revenues of 458 million euros, a thousand employees worldwide, of which 400 in Italy. The agrochemical sector is characterized by a strong concentration: Bayer (further strengthened by the acquisition of Monsanto by the German company Bayer), Corteva (derived from the merger between the American DuPont and Dow), Syngenta, Basf and UPL (in particular after the acquisition of the American Arysta by the Indian UPL) they control over 70% of the market. “Even more after the crisis caused by Covid-19 - said Nadia Gagliardini (photo), President of the Sipcam Oxon Group - more attention will be required to the agricultural sector. Agriculture will increasingly have to produce food in sufficient quantities for everyone in compliance with the quality parameters imposed by the market ".

….

Milan, May 21 (Labitalia) - In the second half of 2020, new commercial offices will open in Chile, Paraguay, Russia and Thailand. This was announced by Sipcam Oxon, the Italian multinational and 12th in the world ranking of agrochemicals, administrative headquarters in Pero (Milan), consolidated revenues of 2019 equal to 458 million euros, a thousand employees worldwide, including 400 in Italy, who challenge and do the point on the epochal changes that await the sector in the coming years also in light of the coronavirus emergency. "Even more after the crisis caused by Covid-19 - says Nadia Gagliardini, president of the Sipcam Oxon group - more attention will be required to the agricultural sector. Agriculture will increasingly have to produce food in sufficient quantities for all in compliance with the quality parameters imposed by the market; for this there will be an increasing need to develop increasingly sustainable products, which will be less numerous due to regulatory restrictions (especially in Europe); greater investments in innovation and more information from customers ".

"We will have to confront - he underlines - with new challenges: the ability to manage resistance, digital agriculture, the growth of mergers and acquisitions in a sector characterized by strong concentration. And also measure ourselves with changes such as the vertical integration of Chinese producers, the instability of Latin American countries and climate change ". "According to our forecasts - says Giovanni Affaba, group ceo - in the coming years there will be fewer products on the market than today and many less than in the past, due to growing regulatory restrictions, especially in the European Union. Furthermore, there will be a greater demand for more natural products and it will also be necessary to better inform consumers. Organic crop protection products will still require significant investments, unlike biostimulants for which the legislation currently requires fewer toxicological and eco-toxicological studies, while innovation to help the farmer maintain profitability "

"It will be crucial - affaba says - the management of the resistance of fungi, insects and weeds, which will develop due to the decrease in the solutions on the market. Digital agriculture will instead be controlled by the large multinationals, which will also continue on their path of mergers and acquisitions: the main objective, since the large players are now a small number, will become medium to medium-sized companies. Finally, farms will further consolidate their professionalism ". "Chinese producers - he explains - will tend to develop vertical integration from the chemical synthesis of active ingredients, their historical area of expertise, to local distribution, a new frontier for Chinese investments. In addition to this, regional issues such as environmental policy of the China, which will become increasingly restrictive, the political, economic and financial instability of Latin American countries and the opening of the Japanese market, will have global repercussions in our sector. "

In order not to be caught unprepared by this scenario, Sipcam Oxon indicates its strategy. "Our vision - he adds - is to help meet the planet's growing food needs by supporting farmers in effective, efficient and environmentally friendly food production through sustainable and innovative solutions. The mission, however, is to establish ourselves among the top 15 global players in the development, production and marketing of agrotechnology; a passionate, independent and competent company that supports the ethical and moral values inspired by their founders ".

"We will protect our existing activities - he reiterates - by increasing innovative solutions always respecting financial sustainability. In addition, it is necessary to develop the production and distribution of biostimulants, giving priority to the countries in which we already have a direct presence and in the large markets where We must then adapt our business model to changing access to distribution channels, to represent a concrete and independent alternative to multinationals ".

"We will extend - he announces - our presence in new markets such as Chile and Paraguay, without forgetting Russia and East Asia (based in Thailand), in which we are about to land during the year, and in general, all those countries where there is significant agricultural activity. Finally, we need to develop a product portfolio that is as integrated as possible. "

It's interesting to consider how potentially the relationship with Dow can grow into a collaboration with multiple players such as UPL/Arysta LifeScience etal due to the way regulators agree to split the various potential monopolistic positions that mergers create.

The article below makes reference to one such arrangement;

CARY, N.C. and JOHNSTON, IOWA (7 November 2017) – Arysta LifeScience, a Platform Specialty Products Company (NYSE:PAH), recently announced that it has initiated a long-term global strategic collaboration with DuPont. Arysta LifeScience will supply to DuPont Crop Protection, a business unit of DowDuPont Agriculture Division, an innovative fungicide technology with an initial focus on corn and soybean seed applied products.

Concurrently, DuPont will acquire rights to register, develop and commercialize seed applied products through its seed brands, to third-party seed companies, and ag retailers globally, that include Arysta LifeScience technology. Both companies intend to extend the collaboration to the development of additional products for other crops.

DuPont intends to develop, register, brand, and market proprietary product combinations with this fungicide technology. These new products are expected to include a systemic fungicide that would control both soil- and seed-borne diseases-including Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, smuts, bunts and seed rots.

“Arysta LifeScience’s fungicide technology for seed treatment is the result of a long-term R&D effort in formulation, biology and application development,” said Paula Pinto, vice president, Global Portfolio Management, Arysta LifeScience. “We are excited to partner with DuPont in the development of new seed treatment solutions.”

“This long-term partnership supports our strategy of collaborations that incorporate best-in-class technologies into our portfolio for grower benefits,” said Mick Messman, director - Global Seed Applied Technologies, DuPont. “We believe fungicidal seed treatments have become an essential tool for managing disease in crops such as corn and soybeans, and we expect this deal to allow us to create and offer growers even more effective seed treatment solutions.”

Add in the industry players to this picture and one can wild guess that a Corteva deal where 2017 deals with Arysta / UPL and Sumitomo/ Nufarm potentially means Eden's Seed deal could involve at least 50% of the Key players.

MICROPLASTICS IN SEED TREATMENT
There is growing global concern on the topic of microplastics in seed treatment, with countless publications in both the scientific community and general press. Although seed treatment accounts for only a small fraction of microplastics in the environment, our industry will have to play its part in reducing the environmental impact of microplastics.

At Incotec we are prepared. We have made it our mission to supply customers with the most sustainable solutions, not because of changing legislation, but because we are committed to helping feed a growing population in the most sustainable way and with minimal environmental impact. That is why we have been working on microplastic-free coatings and the first of these new coatings will soon be available.

Incotec: Microplastic-Free Solutions Are Here to Stay
Microplastic-free film coatings will be launched in the second half of this year.

Moving forward, Incotec has prepared series of new products for sunflower, corn and vegetables seeds that are microplastic-free. These new and innovative products address all the most important aspects of conventional seed treatment, making sure that all the features of advanced seed treatment have not been lost. Microplastic-free film coatings will be launched in the second half of this year. Incotec will make sure that its full portfolio is microplastic-free and sustainable to the max, which is the direction of Mission Zero.

Ok fellas so were agreed Eden have 100% trials to commercial deal when the partner (Sipcam/Sumi / Eastman) names Eden in shared PR.

So we can deduce from this with confidence that the Corteva deal is Baked in.

Ok your next task is to find us articles from the other Big three AG companies of their plans for the 2025 microplastics phase out.

Who is doing what How etc ..or is Eden's tech in relation to SEED treatment going to be part of what Sean Smith says when he refers Eden as being part of a 'broader portfolio of products and being a consolidator in the industry'.

So get on your Google and lets see what Bayer/ Syngenta / BASF are doing..lets reverse engineer this issue to confirm or contradict the proposition that Corteva are trailing SustainE for the whole seed treatment industry..

Farm to Fork.. Italian Article (1m26s read)

Farm to Fork: less chemical and organic incentives of 20 billion a year in the EU Green Deal
The 2030 sustainability strategy was presented in Brussels, including the indication of origin and nutritional values on the label. Mixed reactions from representatives of the agricultural world.

50% reduction in the use of pesticides in agriculture and 20% reduction in fertilizers by 2030. 50% reduction in the consumption of antibiotics for livestock and aquaculture and 25% increase in organic areas, in addition to further extension of the origin label on food. These are some of the main objectives of the sustainability strategy presented today by the European Commission, with the two communications on biodiversity and "Farm to Fork" that define the role of agri-food within the European Green Deal. Brussels aims to reach a share of at least 30% of Europe's protected rural and marine areas, and to transform 10% of agricultural areas into areas with high biodiversity.

The strategy provides for a financing of 20 billion a year between EU, national and private funds. The communications, which also pave the way for the use of new biotechnologies in the field, are not binding but indicate the guidelines for future legislative acts to be agreed with the Council and the European Parliament.

"The coronavirus crisis has shown how vulnerable we are all and how important it is to restore the balance between human activity and nature - said Executive Vice President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans, responsible for implementing the Green Deal objectives -. Climate change and the loss of biodiversity are a clear and current danger for humanity. At the heart of the Green Deal, biodiversity and Farm to Fork strategies aim at a new and better balance between nature, food systems and biodiversity; protect the health and well-being of our citizens and at the same time increase the EU's competitiveness and resilience. These strategies are a crucial part of the great transition we are undertaking. "

Different reactions have come from the Italian agricultural world. For the president of Coldiretti Ettore Prandini, "the extension of the obligation of labels with the indication of the origin of food is a victory for 1.1 million European citizens who have signed the initiative of European citizens promoted by Coldiretti and other European organizations, from Solidarnosc to Fnsea "but, stressed Prandini, there is no lack of critical issues in the strategy that" presents worrying shadows in the misleading nutriscore stickers and in the prejudices on meat consumption and on farms ".

Confagricoltura's judgment is negative. "The Commission's proposals penalize the production potential of agriculture and the European agri-food system. It is a perspective that we do not share, also because imports from third countries that apply different and less stringent rules would increase - said the president of the organization, Massimiliano Giansanti -. In the context of the ongoing health emergency, agriculture and the agri-food system have been considered as essential activities, including by the EU Commission. Products intended for food have a public value that, in the future, should not be underestimated and sacrificed ".

Even for the president of Copagri, Franco Verrascina, "the ambitious objectives contained in the communications must not penalize agricultural producers, already put to the test by the pandemic".

"Agriculture is ready for the sustainability challenge but deserves a central role", is instead the CIA's claim: "For this reason, also in view of the presentation on May 27 of the new EU multiannual financial framework, it must be clear that there cannot be cuts to the agricultural budget ». Finally, the president of the Alliance of agro-food cooperatives, Giorgio Mercuri, highlighted how the European strategy must not compromise the security of supply: «Before any European legislative intervention it will be necessary to make a careful assessment of the consequences that such an important plan can have on farmers and cooperatives, who need alternatives to be able to achieve such ambitious goals without compromising their very existence. A "blindfolded" approach can jeopardize European food security itself, the competitiveness and income of thousands of companies and cooperatives that have already been seriously affected by the Covid emergency19 ".

Paolo De Castro's warning came from the European Parliament front: «We are ready to take up the ambitious challenge that the Commission is launching today - he said - but not at any price. It is the beginning of a path that must lead to a trust pact between European producers and consumers based on the quality, transparency and safety of the production processes and products that come to our tables. We are very worried - added De Castro - that the objectives of reducing the use of productive inputs, could jeopardize the production capacity of our farmers: every constraint must be accompanied by the provision of alternative tools, and in this sense the openness from the Commission to new sustainable biotechnologies for the assisted evolution of plants gives us hope.

RNS approvals slowly growing expanding footprint etc. Good Work EDEN.

Most notable sentence for me;

'We are pleased that the regulatory approval process continues in a number of important markets even whilst we have faced process and timing challenges in others'.

One could interpret this as alluding to French Cedroz approval but it could apply equally to EPA in the USA..

So progress being made..As those following the story will know regulatory progress is grindingly slow

Pugugly,

I'm not focusing on revenues from Mevalone ,Cedroz etc or related financial details as these are relatively small beer in the coming few years . Instead my attention is drawn to an announcement that will Dwarf both these growing markets and be transformational for EDEN. To keep focusing on the tufts of grass in the road while ignoring the juggernaut Corteva SustainE RNS potentially coming our way by end of 2020 makes little sense to me.

The £10m funding and the institutional DD that went along with it together with all my in-depth unchallenged research overshadows concerns about website updates and put firmly to rest any short term funding issues. Certainly Mevalone revenues are growing slower than I had hoped but the organic status of ARAW will offer the industry a much needed replacement for the controversial Copper Sulphate based products currently used in organic viticulture so we may see a step change in revenues as a consequence. Of course wider territorial approvals will add to the sales foot print also.

The Cedroz approvals / trials will mean chunky revenues from sales could be a few years away but when they come in the 2021/22 period they will be substantial and further enhance Eden/SustainE reputationally thru the Eastman brand association.

I also think you'll agree that a Corteva RNS and associated up front payments will convincingly put to bed your question regarding profitable sales and valid reasons to invest and that's just 7months away we are told.

A Granular look imo might critique or question my assumptions between the EDEN UMMS IP encapsulation enhancements for Partners along with the Paddy field mention in the USDA backed Ostroff Pro-payload Patent. Also we could along the way perhaps discuss why Eden had/have two Rice scientists on the payroll.

supers- Your research notes (as I am not a bio-agri scientist) cannot be faulted but given the very very very long time the prior and current managment teams have worked hard but failed to produce bottom line profits I have = as said above - doubts as to whether they will make it this time for the benefit of long suffering shareholders -

I would go into more detail but Eden have not yet updated their website with either the 2019 interims or finals - However from the rns of 7th May 2020 accumulated loss of £36,584,277 including loss before taxation for 2020 of £1,479,373 raises a number of red flags - Key point being - However good the technolgy if no profitable sales can be made then why invest -
The fact that website not yet updated shows (imo) lack of attention to detail - Cenkos should as their AIM advisior be keeping an eye on this..

Not sure what you are loking for in "granular" Definition = small grains or particles - I would suggest that with personal capital at risk the cash burn and so far the failure to build significant sales traction needs to be a key factor in any investment decision.

Every part of that assessment is clearly referenced.

Why else would EDEN have two scientific advisors with Rice specialisms.

Your questions do not appear to reflect the amount of evidence I present and you have not so far not commented on it directly. This is especially relevant as you make reference to Plant Health etal and my assessment makes clear referenced associations with Eden and multiple Major Ag players.

A Patent from UMMS, Authored by Gary Ostroff and Ernesto Soto
Senior Research Scientist at UMass Medical School/ Monsanto

YEAST CELL WALL PARTICLE ENCAPSULATION OF BIODEGRADABLE PRO-PAYLOADS

This is

STATEMENT OF FEDERALLY SPONSORED RESEARCH
This invention was made with government support under Grant Nos. NIFA 2015-11323 awarded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institutes of Food and Agriculture (NIFA). The government has certain rights in this invention.

This patent discusses improvements in the encapsulation process and in particular reference to Agricultural and Industrial Compositions and Methods ;

'The composition of the present disclosure may alternatively be applied via irrigation. This is suitable for treating nematodes or other soil borne pathogens or parasites.

In certain embodiments, the present disclosure provides for compositions in the form of granules and methods of controlling pests using the same. Granules allow for the use of less selective herbicides, pesticides, and combinations thereof, and thus offer a means to control pests that are not otherwise easily controlled.

Granules are a convenient application form for producers with small allotments such as paddy rice farmers, or for growers of turf where spays are complicated by the needs of near neighbors sensitive to drift or odor or for broad acre farmers who wish to apply fertilizers and herbicides together and who do not have convenient access to water.

The granules may be used in flooded paddies, recently irrigated turf, or in areas where it is inconvenient or impossible to remove irrigation water. The granules allow small holders the means to apply crop protection chemicals without expensive equipment, and without risk of exposing airways or eyes to aerosols or spray materials. Granules can be easily measured and distributed by hand. Using granules that are designed for uniform dispersal is advantageous because this compensates for uneven application'.

Now Monsanto Bayer have a huge issue with Dicamba Drift and Globally their is a significant issue with Rice Blast a key issue for many AG companies including Corteva and Bayer.

I repeat the earlier UMMS paragraph;

'We look forward to the ongoing collaboration with UMMS which is, in part, focussed on the further development of this technology with the objective of creating a next-generation encapsulation system to help us solve a broader set of challenges for our partners'

A Corteva note says;

'Corteva Agriscience has committed to improving the livelihoods of at least 3 million farmers and their rural communities by the end of 2020. Within this corporate target, the company specifies its Rice Farm Schools Program in India, a collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Department of Agriculture that will provide half a million smallholder farmers with practical expertise and agronomic training. The project aims to have a multiplier effect, whereby farmers train other farmers using an eight-step program'.

Notable Findings,

'Corteva Agriscience estimates that around 80% of its clientele in South and Southeast Asia are smallholder farmers'.

The company engages approximately 1,000 third parties to organize seed production activities in India, through which the company uses long term contracts to solidify its relationships with 58,000 seed producers, of which 80% are estimated to be smallholder farmers.

Also perhaps relevant and emphasises Rice Blast as a significant Global issue ;

Dow DuPont merger conditions open door to new R&D player.

'The buyer would join BASF, Bayer, Syngenta and the merged entity as a global pesticide R&D organisation involved in the discovery of new active ingredients through to the release of formulated products through national distribution channels.

The Commission found the merger would have significantly reduced competition for some selective herbicides for cereals, oilseed rape, sunflower, rice and pasture in a number of EU member states, as well as insecticides used in horticulture and fungicides used on rice blast.

The merger conditions also required some DuPont insecticides used in horticulture and fungicides used on rice blast to be divested, and Dow would divest significant petrochemical investments in this sector where both companies currently operate'.

This Paper.. Rice Blast: A Disease with Implications for Global Food Security describes 'Rice blast is a serious fungal disease of rice (Oryza sativa L.) that is threatening global food security'

Further suggestions of corporate connections to Corteva come from this UMMS and Eden research funded summarising article presented at TechConnect World 2019 Program - Wednesday June 19 with Session chair: YuanQiao Rao of The Dow Chemical Company under the banner ..Materials for Personal/Home Care & Cosmetics

Here they report 'an improved approach to develop controlled release YCWP Terpenes by encapsulating Biodegradable pro-terpene compounds'

Interestingly Session chair: YuanQiao Rao has links to Eastman as well as Dow.

Did someone say 100 times ...CAP/TT formulation parallel delay??

Ok so I hear you say ..so what Supersonico your just doing your all wild guesses all the wild time and making associations which may or may not have any relevance to Eden..to which I say

Look at some of Eden's scientific advisors which include;
Dr Paul Williams Belfast School of Biological Sciences who knows a fair bit about Rice cultivation and who's RESEARCH FOCUS is;

Over the past 17 years Paul's focus has been to identify and attempt to correct the hidden inequality existing in global diets, a quest that’s taken him to the tannery slums of Dhaka, through to inaccessible mountain-dwelling communities in China poisoned by selenium – an element more commonly viewed in the “West as being a super-nutrient, and the rice paddies projects of Sekinchan - a vital part of Malaysia’s food security strategy. Paul is currently researching the scientific/agronomic potential of a technology called DGT that can be used to analyse soil/water quality, in a bid to evaluate agro-ecosystem sustainability/health.

Also Advising Eden we have..

Chang Hyun Khang an Associate Professor of Plant Biology who's Research Interests include;

Fungi are major pathogens of plants. We are interested in understanding how fungi manipulate plant cells to cause disease and how plant cells respond to the invading fungi. To answer these questions, we study rice blast disease caused by the fungal pathogen Magnaporthe oryzae. Rice blast remains one of the world's most devastating diseases, destroying enough rice to feed more than 60 million people each year. In addition to its economic significance, rice blast is a model system for the study of plant-fungal interactions. We hope that our research will have translational value for controlling rice blast and other fungal diseases.

You could consider relevant also add to the mix .. Eden's recent Appointment of Director of Regulatory Affairs Dr. Michael Carroll who has considerable experience at Dow AgroSciences and Monsanto Agricultural Group and could also be providing DOW/Corteva with a linkman into Eden in a similar senior link role that I imagine Lylele has.

Eden tell us 'At Monsanto and Dow AgroSciences, Mike's responsibilities included the global launch of herbicides and fungicides, experience which will be highly relevant as Eden executes on plans to expand its product offering'.

Bear this in mind with the details of recent £10m fundraise and the Microplastic issue facing Corteva and every seed company on the planet.

and 2017 Sumitomo/ dupont seed collaboration news;

DuPont and Sumitomo Chemical Company Announce Global Seed-Applied Technology Agreement

"We are excited about this collaboration with Sumitomo Chemical. The Sumitomo Chemical portfolio and pipeline will complement the investments DuPont has made in discovery, development and commercialization of seed-applied products. Partnering with Sumitomo Chemical early in the development process enables us to create higher performing seed-applied products for our customers," said Mick Messman, director, DuPont Seed Applied Technologies.

Collaborations between DuPont and Sumitomo Chemical's regional affiliate, Valent U.S.A. LLC., will focus on the North American region with potential expansion opportunities to multiple crop markets globally.

The RNS ' Sipcam exercises Option for new distribution agreements in additional territories' links Sipcam and Valent Bioscience to EDEN and relationships are discussed further in previous post 5395.

Of note and pertinent here is the following paragraph;

'In addition to the new distribution agreements to be signed by the two parties, collaboration work continues with Sipcam in respect of Eden's natural microencapsulation technology, Sustaineâ„¢, which is being assessed for synergy with a number of active ingredients used in crop protection. Using the Sustaine technology potentially brings a number of advantages to existing conventional and natural active ingredients such as enhanced efficacy, formulation stability, patent protection, time-release and resistance management'.

Of course this could all add up to a big bowl of wild speculation but I would consider it carefully before you follow the example of those shape shifting Gamekeepers turned poachers who are dismissive of the efforts of Team at Eden research and are imo currently over playing their hands.
