We have a good steward in charge. Sensible, down to earth; not only does he have training in geology but he is a sound businessman. The beauty about the Hurricane deal is that ECR has a year's option to confirm what AH clearly believes will benefit shareholders, During that year he has the time for corporate action regarding the assets in Victoria and Phil.

One of the great things about ECR is it can move quickly on low volume. Been a bad thing also over the last 6months but with the great newsflow looks like sentiment has turned a corner. Could be back pressing 2p again in the near future.

There is definitely gold there in abundance, but we need a reliable method to ascertain it.

It is bizarre how AH has been securing the financial stability of ECR by reviewing assets and disposing of non core ones only to acquire new assets today, albeit with limited cash obligation and an option.

It does appear that AH thinks we can afford this deal and will have access to sufficient cash for it and for our other project commitments, notably Creswick which will soon be three licenses with complex geology requiring a lot more work to define.

Very positive feel about ECR these days.

So what have we now got in the bag?

Interesting and encouraging drilling results from HR3. More drilling required.

Interesting and encouraging drilling results at Creswick, where we have a property and should soon have a dominating 3 licenses. More drilling and more representative sampling required.

Drilling ongoing at Blue Moon where we've already had good RC assays, results due within weeks.

Assets and royalty agreements in the Philippines and Argentina.

Lolworth license in N Queensland, drilling next year hopefully.

Acquisition of Placer Gold Ltd and their Hurricane license, optional after drilling, A$1m in cash and shares.

We have two rigs.

Talk of disposals and interest from others in doing deals on our licenses.


What we don't have is conclusive definitive drilling success, not yet...

We have about a million quid in the bank, with disposals ongoing. The m and a market is moving, global equities may have bottomed, maybe now is a good time to invest in ECR?

True, but we have time to work it out. Our share price could be very different in a year, so giving away equity now could make some mates very rich.

Yes strange news. Got to say I am neutral on it.
They can't have committed to funding with equity in Ecr, that would be ridiculous in this environment as the dilution would be huge, even if we could get the money. So surely it has to be some sort of disposal.
