I can't believe this information is coming out this way.

Total amateur hour, and only follows on the total mis-handling of the Guyana debacle.

Really sleezy that while not acting as the operator you divulge information that may have a material impact on the stock.

If not done on purpose, total incompetence.

Has he not heard of chain of command on this one?

His comments will not have any effect on the share price when news comes out...

He simply panicked a few people talking about delay....

If, and its only an if, the well was respud around 20th October then news next week, and that ties in with him saying likely next week.

Looking ar the share price action in the charts.... Could well have been drilling delays early October, with drilling not starting properly until 20th??

What date was the rig 35 meter move?

Respudded at that time? Say around 18th October??

Would explain the falling price into 20th October then followed by the rises after.

The obvious corporate transaction he is referring too after Gazania 2B result would, in the success case of Gazania , be AOI making an all paper offer for ECO imo.

This allows AOI to get a major oil development project and the other assets.... Something AOI shareholders could swallow and allow ECO shareholders to get a good price for the shares quickly.

I thought his comment about post 2B corporate events very positive.

AOI currently buying back shares..... And soon to issue new in an ECO all paper takeover in 23 ????

It's only hot money panic at the mention of delay by Keith Hill .... Facts are the share price has risen and spiked at the right times.... And today is only with Keith Hill speaking of slight delays sparking a bit of selling which snowballed.

Africa Oil AOI share price unchanged......

Stop losses being taken out in Canada.

Eco Atlantic RNS: Commencement of Operations on the Gazania-1 well, offshore South AfricaAfrica Oil: Eco, the operator of Block 2B, offshore South Africa, announced the start of DRILLING operations on the Gazania prospect on October 4, 2022.So assuming spud the 4th of October and counting the planned 25 days plus extra 20days Keith Hill said we get to 45 days. Today is day 42. So when he said maybe news not this week it makes sense.If side track is included in the 20days who knows but probably not.But news soon

Gil has 'form' in this respect in his (mis)handling of the heavy oil news at Jethro.

I thought that the Lundin involvement might have raised standards a bit. GH's and KH's performances make me wonder if that was a safe assumption.

Is he talking about some corporate action between Africa Oil and Eco ie takeover or merger?

If Gil was being honest when he said all is going to plan then maybe the 20 day delay is sidetrack drilling but Keith Hill did not want to say that, in fact he couldn't could he.
