Generally when drilling issues occur the companies share price takes a tumble as the situation leaks from the rig and support crews........

So with no dips down and only spikes up...........one assumes its a discovery........well I do.....might be wrong but I am holding all my shares tight, not sold any and will hold all for results...........lets see.

Yet, this is travelling so slowly it has to be good news!

Hadn't seen that last bit of the sentence before Norseman, nice find.

There's a few scenarios as to where we could be:
-Major dilling issues
-discovery (bigger than estimated.)
-discovery + sidetracked.


A duster would have been announced by now, unless they've had major drilling issues.

If it's a discovery since the estimate was 30 days for logging, it's larger than estimated.

They could have side tracked on the discovery and be waiting to deliver both results together, which would shock the market more.


Either way a brief update would be appreciated, the speculation will begin to get out of control.

And if it were 30 days and spud on 9th October....we are only on day 32....so well within the +/- 5 days ......

News Monday looks likely imo.........a weekend to chew the data and come up with the plan going forward........

35 slowest case

Really depends on what they find.........lets say if Namaqualand was loaded, they would want to take sidewall cores and fluid samples......which would cause a delay before continuing.......

2314. I think we will have to have had an RNS by then, probably tomorrow with a bit of luck.
Surely, we would have had a duster RNS by now it this had been a dry hole so things look very promising.

Africa Energy are extremely close to Eco and it’s management.Therefore why highlight the drill now in the results if Gazania is a “ duster”.I am very confident now that we have a discovery.Africa Oil, another shareholder in Eco have results on Monday 14th.

If there were operational issue you would have seen share price dips.......

We have seen share price ups......

That suggests the limited info leaking from the rig is positive...........imo.

They may have encountered drilling issues. However if that were the case I would have expected a RNS by now given where we are in the timeline.

A lot of people seem not to understand that 25 days estimate was best case on a DRY HOLE basis !!!!!

If you dont have a dry hole, you must spend more time logging and taking sidewall cores and fluid samples.........you need to gather as much reservoir data as possible on a strike......you do not on a dry hole, so dry holes are quick generally.

I think ltinvestor is spot on. Gil wants to be professional and not a chump by announcing incomplete results too early. Reputation is everything.

We want to see sidetracking not backtracking!

They should release at TD, once logging is done and any fluid sampling complete.......ahead of any sidetrack.

Which is why Gil put in that email "if we announce a sidetrack"...........as this would mean discovery in the vertical well and moving to then sidetrack.

He did say 2 to 3 weeks from 22nd Oct......and here we are 2.5 weeks later.........so really at that point on the 22nd they knew already it was looking like potentially mid November.

We all though "no...cannot be 2 to 3 weeks away".....but so it might be.

All I will say is, the slower it goes, the more likely it has pay......dusters are quick and the 25 day drilling time was based on "dry hole".

Pro.Because of the debacle over the Orinduik discovery information release I feel that Eco will be extra cautious here and only release information when they are 100% certain about the data.
