farm out on 3b/4b far more likely than a fund raise, would be a little stupid to dilute before gazania as it has a very decent chance of success

and as said above, aoi can either do a corporate load and/or pay their share of gazania as they have interests through eco and afe

either way will get sorted

They have about $23m dollars in the kitty...plenty for the Gazzania well. They will have to fund 3B/4B in some way but as they have demonstrated , they know how to fund things creatively. The JHL deal is an illustration of that.

Following the massive discoveries at Graff and Venus, I suspect multiple companies will be desperate to get a piece of the action at 3B/4B

Africa Oil is cash rich having just picked up a juicy $100m dividend from one of its investments.

Is a placing really necessary at the moment? Don't we have the $15m from the JHI acquisition to cover the cost of the participation in the SA well? If that strikes oil we could fundraise for Guyana and Namibia drills at a later date, at a much higher price, surely?

It's on the cusp of breaking out. It's at a key level in Canada where there has been resistance before.

Suppose to be drilling the SA block in next two months (unless i've misread the latest presentation.)
3b4b are not that far from the Shell and Total discoveries in lates 80s..

I'm never good at timing purchases
will keep going higher or will it pull back?

Westmount doomed after this eco jhi deal
The company 4 million pound worth like a shoes store jjaaja
Hope for their investors that the management will bring more drills activity or maybe more shares in eco they can go up from 3% stake to 5% stake, so if eco made a discovery they also surge up .

ECO is looking exceptionally good and IMO has much further to go!

I'm a big holder here and look forward to the future!!

taking the AOI stake was fairly big, not just for the cash support but access to namibia info, and of course the Lundin expertise. just hope Gil isnt always the bridesmaid but too many prospects for this not to get well over a £1

finally moving, am watching from sidelines being quite big into AOI but this will prob get very exciting this year, gazania will almost certainly be a success, will add on weakness if you get any, dont really expect it though

The Azinam deal gives us fabulous drill ready assets in the Orange basin alongside the two biggest oil discoveries for years Venus and Graff.......incredible bit of business

The Canje deal gets us a 17.5% interest in the Canje block which Exxon is drilling out bit by bit....also a load of cash

v happy with both deals

all these figures are fantasy the real figures are shareholders d1ilution of Orinduik the JHI deal alone dilutes shareholders stake in eco by 34% and the azinam deal by 16% so yes we have more acreage but 50% of Orinduik of shareholders equity has in my opinion been given away for 1 free carry on canje and some cash. if

Malcy's take on today's CPR

Eco are powering ahead with this CPR in which the numbers are truly stupendous, even shareholders may have blinked when they saw best estimate prospective resources of some 8.2bn barrels of oil and 7,417 BCF of gas. The report has everything in it except the recent JHI deal which includes the Canje block in Guyana which would provide icing on the top of this exceedingly good cake.

Clearly Namibia takes the kudos with its huge structures containing massive potential but actually if you look at existing portfolio it is carefully assembled with differing profiles and geographies. Recent drilling in every single area that Eco can be found has already started the de-risking programme and Gil and Colin have put together what is rightly been described as ‘the biggest small cap in the E&P world’. Indeed normally if you saw such a sizeable portfolio you wouldnt expect it to be in a company with a market cap of only £70m.

Last time I wrote about Eco I suggested that it might even be the ‘go-to’ exploration company in the energy mix, this CPR only confirms what a gem this is in the E&P sector, with funding available through canny deals, enormous strength from partner companies and investors who know a good thing when they see one. As they say on the stage, this one will run and run…

Agree. I find the 8bn barrels and 7tcf quite exciting, though. The elephants seem to be in Namibia, perhaps we can farm out to a major there.
