Align Research note on ECO.
The map is very helpful. ECO's Block B2 on on the right which is a discovery. Post 1017 refers as above.

Eco Block 3B4B is in SOUTH OF SHELL'S GRAF discovery [?] and TOTAL'S VENUS [also reported discovery but awaiting further info] is WEST of Shell's Graf.

From the map, it looks like ECO's 3B4B is in the fairway [oil term] or strike [mining term].

TRP have a 50% share in South Africa covering three basins, adjoining Total and Shell, with a potential 2 Billion barrels

Third largest net acreage in Namibia, where oil was brought to the surface in the mid 90's by Norsk Hydro. Two prospects in PEL96 with a potential 2 Billion barrels

They also have near term production of light oil in Cameroon

latest presentation is up on eco website. SA block is "low risk" due to be drilled H2.
looking at presentation it's not very far from 1988 discovery (127m net reservoir!) discovery page 18.

Just wondering how far the share price could go on the build up to this drill. The mc is 70m but not sure how much of that includes this new acq..

Block 2b flowed oil in 1988 when a 10m section was tested at the lowest level.The thick reservoir sandstone section was actually over 300m in size!!Blocks 3b4b are directly south of the Shell and now Totalenergies finds.Could Eco have just pulled off the deal of the century?

According to Eco funds to drill the South Africa block will be underwritten by existing shareholders.
