I see Shell purchased some Namibia exposure from Kosmos last week. Shell seem to be buying up future exploration areas..........certainly would not be surprised very soon to see them take out Tullow's Guyana and Suriname licenses.

Nice write up on the upcoming E&P summit, Eco get a mention

At the Africa E&P Virtual Summit, a delegation of governments and industry leaders will hold three exclusive roundtable sessions on Liberia, Ghana and Namibia’s oil and gas future. Each country will be making announcements on the latest adjustments to any ongoing licensing round bid terms and insights on subsurface potential and exploration activity.

Did not hear that. They are currently doing the further work with a view to drilling in 2021.

Although its highly likely they will sell their share of Guyana before the end of this year.

Looks like Shell.

I'll have to replay their webcast sometime but think TLW said they had no plans to drill Guyana in 2021, although they will be doing further work to understand the potential in the light of recent discoveries in the basin.

Very interesting, might be seeing Shell buy out TLW from Suriname and Guyana soon.

Would be better with Shell as operator at Orinduik than Tullow. Would liven things up and get it moving fast.

Agreed Pro, zero priced in for Namibian assets currently by the market, the industry clearly see it very differently

Corporate deals and farmouts due soon, may even have announcements from Maggy Shino at the Africa E&P virtual Summit next week 16th & 17th

Indeed zero value been applied to Namibian blocks by the market, but clearly the industry see's value in the assets ;-)

Tullow awaiting outcome of Total drill near their block in Namibia. Looks likely they will withdraw if Total have a poor result. Just my hunch.

Thanks for the link Pro, it highlights that value is not currently priced in for Namibia

Gil has said in various presentations farm outs and corporate activity is coming

I received last week from someone at the coal face in Namibia, regarding Exxon & Equinor pulling out of South Africa ......"Definitely, Namibia is a favored destination, more major and medium sized oil companies will be acquiring assets in Namibia"
