Was about to go back into the metaphorical bottom drawer then those two buys popped up at 0900. I'll give it another day... Won't call my Canadian contact yet though.

Is the share price rise due to Baron day trading ? He has taken a 0.75% stake in some firm and was earlier posting about Eco in early sept?

Winston, I hope so. Do you think somebody elsewill farm in? Not sure how else tlw could pay for it, at least in 2021? For sure, TLW cantafford to retain 60%

Given that Peel Hunt are onboard now, a placing cannot be ruled out in the short to mid-term.

They dont want to run cash too low, so best get a top up while its a good choice, as opposed to doing it when you have to.

Nice to see something stirring. Hope it doesn't just flounder around these levels again and slide back.

Operational news would be helpful. Best would be a Namibia farm-out with a cash element but that's probably no more than wishful thinking! More likely Gil presenting around the City ahead of a placing? If so, the story seems to be going down well.

What are you talking about? Have I missed something? I haven't seen any mention of 2022. Please enlighten me about this.

phoebus, thanks for the explanation re the BOE prices. I have 184 million shares at 66p and P50 according to Tullow was 110 mmbls of which the ECO share is 16.5 mmbls.
I'll let you announce the figures but the oil price at the time was around $60 bbl.
I haven't looked at WTE in detail but does your $1.03 boe apply to the first drill's (Tanager) P50 or all of the campaign ?

leon
Jethro and Joe were Tertiary discoveries and it appears heavy oil is the characteristic for this interval in Guyana. It is proposed to test the Cretaceous intervals during the next campaign and any discovery should be lighter sweeter oil, in keeping with other discoveries in the vicinity.

I'm trying to avoid Groupthink here. What happens I'd the ECO drills are in 2022 and they come in along lines of Jethro. Thick and stodgy heavy oil nobody wants??!!!! GLA

Winston, no flaw. In run up to Jethro and Joe campaign ECO share price ranged between 66p and 102p. Dividing market cap at those prices by the total P50 net to ECO for those drills indicates market was pricing ECO at between $2.67/BOE and $3.97/BOE pre drill results. WTE is currently only priced at $1.03/BOE for its campaign, which is like buying ECO at 25.4p just before the Jethro result. 66p / 2.67 x 1.03 = 25.4p.

It may be worth 100p...but it may be worth 2 to 3p if more Jethro tyor results come in. That's the problem with tiddlers GLA

Not looking good sadly for 2021, 2022 more realistic. I'm sure Gil talks a good talk, but with a diminishing cash pile they will have to restrain the G&A here...even beyond their COVID efforts. GLA

The flaw in your post is that you cannot lump all 5 drills together because that is obviously assuming a success case in all of them. If Tanager is a duster then that will change the metrics for the other 4 dramatically, until/if one of those comes good.
Can you clarify your $3.97 and $2.67 figures please. What do they represent?
