Agree with DavR0s, the chart had been forming a long term cup and handle formation which is bullish and it has broken higher with no resistance above now. That said, investors will be buying on fundamentals and in my view, the outlook is very positive, in a niche sector, a largely untapped USA market, regulation driving customers to take action, a very strong balance sheet, patented products, the opportunity for very strong organic growth, highly visible, predictable revenues and good cash generation. As USA customers renew contracts, any new business will start to feed much more quickly to the bottom line profits, thus increasing growth rates.

It's a technical breakout as there is no overhead supply - there is no necessary need for news to be behind this

Today's trade continued to push to historic highs and touched 58p on the offer with a wide spread during early trading. Something clearly must be driving this upwards movement....and still no official announcement?

The "cup and handle" finally broke and off to new highs with this excellent set of results this week. Management should be feeling pleased and rightly so for having done such a great job in growing this business organically and rewarding patient shareholders. The future looks very bright in a niche sector, with patented technology, growing demand being driven by increasing regulation to control data and card fraud, the USA market size is many times larger than that of the UK and so one would hope to see this rapid growth continue. Really really good to see

Just a share breaking to an 18year high - I added (as I know others did earlier) today for that very reason. Maybe news ahead but more likely there is no overhead supply leading to the move

Judging by this morning’s activity first thing, I suspect someone has got wind of some positive news. It’s not uncommon for ECK to give Contract announcements towards the end of trading week. Time will tell.

H1 results look fine but there is no exuberance in the H2 outlook, just expected to be "in line" for the year. I hope this is management caution in uncertain times. However, better to underpromise and leave room for a marginal outperform statement in due course.

As a long time holder it is disappointing to see a poor USA performance. Possible change of personnel there is required. The technology seems to have a major selling advantage but is not resulting in a major upward path. Maybe time to depart.

I took some of mine off the table this morning. 25% profit not to be sneezed at and 50-55p has proved stubborn resistance in the past.

A little piece in this morning’s Times (basically reiterating the double digit growth)

Rathean raises an interesting point. A year or two ago updates were much more bullish and perhaps a little complacent about the uniqueness of the technology on offer. There seems however to have been a change in tone since the problems with the US acquisition, the UK sales hiccup and the change in accounting rules took the wind out of Eck’s sails. I suspect the board have drawn the right lessons and are leaning towards an under-promise and over-deliver approach.

No doubt this business is growing, but the language it uses in its announcements does not create confidence. I question the current valuation, too much ambiguity to buy at the current share price imo dyor ofc.

Traditionally, November seems a busy month for the company: 18 November 2015 Eckoh announced the acquisition of PSS, "a US-based company specialising in the management of contact centre and customer experience technology" Just jogging my own memory but it's been 4 years now since the US acquisition, seems to have been a slow burner, but hopefully Eckoh are gaining more and more traction via this purchase. Other matters aside, Eckoh's timing was pretty good, buying a company in US dollars whilst sterling was high and now receiving revenues when sterling is low.

The last set of interims came out 20 November 2018, so we should be due an update towards the end of next month
