12/1/2014 17:42 | varies ...apart from my main AIM investment, GVC an online gaming company, which is up 15% since Jan 1st. | mylands
12/1/2014 15:25 | We are all waiting for the seasonal rally. Very few AIM stocks have started this new year well. | varies
12/1/2014 13:04 | An interesting point and well illustrated by the chart - thanks | mazarin
11/1/2014 17:29 | The volumes that are accompanying the fall have been very low and substantially lower than those that caused the rise before Christmas. Take a look at the chart showing the daily volumes at the bottom. Since the high at the end of December we have had only one day where more than 500k were traded and that was yesterday. This is another example of a small cap stock suffering when there are no buyers around to take up any stock being sold. I view this as a good buying opportunity. | mylands
10/1/2014 20:10 | I have to admit as a long term holder of ECK, that this week's series of repeated daily selling is rather disappointing, particularly on the back of a steady holding phase after Christmas following a fantastic rise in the 'sp' when nothing in terms of the Company's fortune was announced nor has apparently changed. I can only assume that holders have progressively become nervous as each mark down served to test their confidence in their perception of the future fortunes of ECK. I, however, decided to continue to hold in the strong belief, like others that we'll soon be hearing some positive news. IMO it's certainly well over-due. Many sell-offs are often over-exaggerated, thus presenting an opportunity for those ready to top up...and I could be one of them. It's all about timing and those who have 'jumped ship', most likely will be just as eager to return. | mazarin
10/1/2014 14:22 | Me too rolandormod! Long termer here so seen all the epic rises and falls before! In the last 3 years, share price risen on average of 60% per annum. So happy holder! Good luck. | ngopal
10/1/2014 14:11 | I really hope you are right:) | rolandormrod
10/1/2014 13:52 | Confident the trend will continue here. Dips on no news, then rises more than the dip on news, resulting in an overall positive trend. Last year a contract was announced mid Jan and another early Feb. Year before that, a contract was announced end of Jan. Seems to be a pattern so sticking with the trend is your friend theory! | ngopal
10/1/2014 13:33 | Not sure this is going to go back up unless there is some news like a new contract win to support this price. It shot up around 10% on no news so I'm expecting it to go back down for the same reason. | rolandormrod
10/1/2014 13:19 | Sold @32.05. Looking to get back in very soon. | zwahla
10/1/2014 11:37 | Predictable chart playing out to a tee! Just waiting for the consolidation to top up in time for the next rise. Should be about now imho. Needed this retraction for momentum for the next leg up. Be good to see some news now from the company like a contract win. | ngopal
08/1/2014 10:07 | Not a word for 2 months, about time we heard something..... | malinkie
06/1/2014 18:10 | The share price is holding steady, with any minor changes to the price mainly due to spread increasing / decreasing. Wondering if an announcement of a new contract win will be coming soon because the share price surely has to have some justification for the recent increase, if not just for the nice steady price we are getting. Let's see.... | zwahla
03/1/2014 12:16 | Dependant upon personal position and current level of holding, I generally view drops as an opportunity to 'top up', but only if you consider it may prove beneficial to buy more, which is just what I thought in July last year when I effectively doubled my holding. It took a little while for the 'sp' to recover, but sure enough my decision was eventually vindicated. I too, don't consider ECK as suitable for 'day traders' and I'm actually quite glad of it, for such activity tends to make the 'sp' frothy. We've had a good run and inevitably some may now see this as a time to take profits. However, others who take a wider view with benefit of some long term experience of holding ECK and belief in its prospects for growth, are more likely content to sit tight. For what its worth, I am personally expecting some news soon. | mazarin
03/1/2014 12:11 | £3.59? I would bite their hand off! | septimus quaid
03/1/2014 11:33 | Posting removed as placed on wrong thread, apologies. | mylands
03/1/2014 11:10 | thanks bamboo2, very useful. This is not a share for day traders, but investors who want nice sustained share price growth over the medium to long term. Looking to a least double on my original buy. | ngopal
03/1/2014 09:12 | Anyone here interested in charts? Seems to indicate no need to worry right now. Tradesmarter on Fingersxxd thread also commented on the ECK chart, Cheers | bamboo2
03/1/2014 09:11 | zwahla Thank you for your explanation. | scargs
03/1/2014 08:59 | This share price needs news or these recent gains will disappear. There has been no significant contract win news for a while. | malinkie
03/1/2014 01:25 | @scargs, just my opinion... Recently the trend has been the share price has been rising steadily and then holding, falling slightly before rising again. ( see @ Ngopal post 108) So following the recent trend we may see the trend continuing. If it does there should be a rise due but that may not continue. | zwahla
02/1/2014 18:12 | zwahla Please can you expand on your post 116. Why should tomorrow/Monday be interesting? Thank you. | scargs
02/1/2014 17:35 | Judging by recent trends, tomorrow and Monday will be interesting. | zwahla
02/1/2014 16:16 | Happy new year all ! | zwahla
31/12/2013 18:26 | Just for the record, ECK started the year at 14.25p and today, I believe it closed (unchanged) at 33.4p (with 189,907 volume) that looked to me to be mostly 'buy' trades. So this has indeed turned out to be a memorable year for ECK and was particularly so during the last 6 months following the announcement of several 'significant' contract wins that helped it to produce an annual overall increase in the 'sp' of 134%. Well done ECK.......now, all we have to do is wait for the next announcement! | mazarin |
